After reading the board for the last couple of days, I now understand why adult webmasters are looked at as disgusting low life perverted pigs.

"Seemed" to me that the majority of adult webmasters actually have some values and morals but then there are those that degrade women, think women are nothing but sluts, do jail time for various disgusting acts, hire escorts, hookers, etc. However the number of those webmasters I "thought" had morals has gone down the drain quickly this week.

Why do other webmasters look UP to these pigs? They are ruining the reputation of EVERYONE in this biz. Is it because they are "successful" ?? Because they attend parties and flash pics of half naked women, women having sex with or even just posing with them. Women I may add that wouldn't even look at them never mind pose for a pic of them if these women weren't paid to do it??

How can they think they are "cool" when they have to pay to get a woman to even look at them? Pay women to have sex with them, etc?? Sorry but where I'm from, having to pay for sex IS NOT COOL! Matter of fact, nobody would TELL ANYONE they did this.

Please tell me there are webmasters out there with a little more self respect for themselves than that? Or maybe I'm just in the wrong business and didn't realize until now that this is how adult webmasters really are

Can you imagine somebody coming to this board and reading it that is NOT an adult webmaster. For example a reporter doing a piece on the porn business. I am an adult webmaster and I'm sickened by the actions of some here. Imagine a reporter, a women reporter even using GFY to base their story on about how adult webmasters are. No wonder this business is so frowned upon.

And don't give me "it's only a board personality" crap If you are against something, your "board personality" isn't going to be for it. If you believe women do NOT ask to be raped, your "board personality" isn't going to say they do! If you think paying to get laid is NOT cool your board personality isn't going to say it IS.

Even if these things are done as a joke, who would joke about some of the awful shit that's been here lately and not really feel that way in real life???????????????

Like I said earlier, it's the idiots that are in the biz for anything other than to make money that are ruining the reputation of all the good adult webmasters!

I know GFY is an unmoderated atmosphere but cmon Lensman do you really condone this type of behavior to be constantly posted on your board? Do you want to be thought of as an adult webmaster who is successful or who is a pig and nothing else. The material on this board reflects upon whomever owns it!

It's all about as the technology has increased and prices have gone down and more people have computers in their homes. A lot of kids have computers and learn how to do this job starting from an early age but don't actually attempt this until they are 19 or 20 because they see it as an easy way to make money without having to have an education or any fucking ethics. They are typical young, dumb and full of cum. It's not going to change until people stop doing biz with them, but then most all of you are more concerned with money rather than principles so you're only getting what you're asking for. If you don't like it then change it.

A truer thing I've never read.. I think a lot of people end up in this business because in a lot of cases you can teach yourself, work from home, and you can start with relatively little cash (on the webmaster side of things) and actually make something with it. People are more willing to talk about things here because people are more accepting, in general. We tolerate the good with the bad because this is a diverse industry, but that's also what makes it SO FUCKING GREAT.

So what if people use hookers or escorts, they need to make money too. They aren't going to go away. At least they won't be shocked and appauled at our lifestyle. Exploit women? Fuck, 99.0% of the women are exploiting themselves... they have a natural resource, why the hell shouldn't they use it? Not like they don't get paid for it.
Hell, most ENJOY their job.

Just because Joe Bigshot the head of some big oil company can't sit down with his board of directors and say something like "Yeah, so I was fucking my wife's ass while watching a porno the other night and..." doesn't mean he is any more or less moralistic than anyone. His peers are simply not accepting of the reality. He might be beating his wife and hiring underage hookers, but does his job legitimize that because there's more "morally correct" people in his industry?

Just to be myself and not pretend to be something I'm not, that's worth being in this business. I'm not going to let a few assholes ruin the fact that I love my job. Hell, I've met more assholes doing shipping and recieving and accounting than I have here. I never said there was anything wrong with hiring escorts, yes they need to make money too and if that's their job choice, it's their bodies (that's if they are the ones selling sex) and they can do what they want with it. However only being able to get laid by paying for it must make for a pretty pathetic person with either low self esteem, a bad personality or both. Maybe it's just where I'm from but that's the way it is here.

I never once said anything about "exploiting women" I believe if they want to show their bodies in various acts of sex than fine with me! I'm talking about the ones who think that all women are sluts and are on a lower level than men. The ones who think women deserve to be raped, etc.

I was just beginning to think that being an adult webmaster "meant" that being as disgusting as possible was cool. That this was acceptable to everyone in the biz. That to be an adult webmaster I had to act like pig to "fit in". Not something I was willing to do.

Also, the replies kinda weed out the idiots from the real webmasters who do have morals of some sort so I know who the good ones are.

I am NOT on a crusade all I wanted to see is if disgusting acts from adult webmasters was the "norm" in the biz and acceptable by all.

I run a few personal (hosted galleries my own galleries, etc) tgps, submit tgps and sites daily and no, I don't just do softcore and I get pretty raunchy in my descriptions, etc. I promote some pretty extreme stuff.

So like I said before I'm no prude. Shit some of the text I make up for promotion would probably be looked at as "exploiting women" by those not in the biz. The morals of the porn industry in itself was not what I was questioning at all.

I "didn't" think there was anything immoral about being in the adult industry but after following posts here for awhile, I started to think that maybe I was wrong.

I think maybe the way my posts are written, I'm not getting through the right way. I find nothing wrong with the biz, I however do find the way some webmasters are very wrong. That was the point of my post, to find out if I'm in the wrong biz because I do have morals! To see if the government and press are really blowing out of proportion the personalities of the people who run porn sites or if this was really the "norm" of those that are in the biz.

A lot of kids have computers and learn how to do this job starting from an early age but don't actually attempt this until they are 19 or 20 because they see it as an easy way to make money without having to have an education or any fucking ethics. They are typical young, dumb and full of cum. It's not going to change until people stop doing biz with them, but then most all of you are more concerned with money rather than principles so you're only getting what you're asking for.
