What's the average conversion with galleries?

With a descent gallery. Say god blessed you very deeply and you got 100,000 hits to your gallery. How many sign-ups would be average for a descent gallery?

I've never submitted them, so I don't exactly know. 1:5000? I'm talking hits to the gallery, not to the sponsor.

1:2500 - that's be with a 3% CTR and a 1:75 conversion ratio. If you can manage a 4% CTR, then you can afford to drop to a 1:100 conversion ratio.

Damn, they really convert under 1:100? I would have thought 1:200 would be more of the norm.

Well at 3% CTR that would be 3,000 hits to the sponsor and if you converted 1:200 that would be 15 X 35$ per sign = $525

Sound about right?

That sounds about right Lush but in order to achieve those numbers you're going to design a gallery that won't please some TGPs. But that's a good thing. Expect to get closer to 50,000 hits daily. Also it may be hard finding a per sign-up sponsor that pays $35 and convert the traffic like that. With the numbers I posted above, I get paid about $15 per sign-up so that works out to $600 for every 100,000 hits.

I use primarily CE's Free programs which pay between $40 and $50 per active sign-up so it works out to about $15-$20 for each sign-up since my cancellation rate is usually around 60%. But the advantage of using the word free on galleries still brings a greater return than if I was using a sponsor that pays me more but charges for a trial.

The conversion ratio is generally pretty good but the surfers dont usually click on many banner ads.

you don't build galleries to please TGP owners (and I happen to own a few), you build them to make $$$

if a TGP won't link a gallery that makes you money, fuck it. Move on, submit to another one or 100 of the endless number of TGPs out there. Most TGPs trade traffic, so it isn't like you are gonna lose some magic type of high quality surfer.

I mean the important thing is the quality/number of pics and no blind links ect... If the the thumbnails are clearly visible then the tgps has no fucking reason to whine about the design and such thing . We are providing them bandwitch and free content so come on ... everyone needs to make their money .
