Hurricane Dorian

On a direct path to Cape Cod and surrounding areas. Target had police presence because of the run on bottled water and food. The news said that people were buying two dozen bottles of water. Obviously they’ve not been through a hurricane here and are panicking.

I’m on a small hill and water runoff will keep on going down to the pond. If it floods, this house is up the hill away from the street with a flat backyard. I’m secure that I won’t float away!

Anyone else in the path of Dorian? Dorian and not durian lol.

Saturday morning is iffy because the storm route is changing. It might swing back but that depends on intensity, weather shift and godnose what else.

I’ll watch the morning news tomorrow. I have a doctor appointment and then shopping for groceries if I’m able. I want to go to see the shelves in Walmart and check for Strawberry PopTarts!

Looking to me like it is going to nail Hatteras. Might go across Cape Fear first though.

Walmart was out of many brands of ice cream, white bread, eggs and pineapple for some reason.

I used to buy local eggs years ago but here they buy supermarket eggs only. One carriage had gallons of water piled high and people were asking why someone would stock up. I and others said media hype.

My ENT appointment was today and when we got there, no patients were in the waiting room of thirty chairs. Leaving there was no one but during my appointment I heard one man only. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she said that most canceled due to the upcoming storm. I couldn’t stop laughing over that. Storm may be in three days so they cancel a doctor appointment just in case. She said that they may close on Friday because every patient has canceled.

No waiting today except for the billing part.
