Has anyone applied for the Apple Card? I was going to until I realized that you had to go into your iPhone to apply. The special titanium card is not usable in certain devices and can erase your number or something like that. I briefly read about it and wondered why you’d want another credit card with fees and made of materials that can cause problems.
Status I guess. The American Express Black Card is a status symbol and I turned it down years ago. I’m not the type to present a fancy credit card to look important or wealthy. Fancy cars show me that the person has credit or a rental car. I had a boss that rented a Mercedes-Benz to look important and he declared bankruptcy twice in his life. He went to jail for six months for fraud and lived in a condo complex overlooking Boston. He was evicted after a year for not paying rent for six months! His “driver” was a high school kid making five bucks an hour. But saying that he had a driver sounded nouveau riche.
