Lensman... Did you really do a denial of service attack?

    Lens,

Although we never worked together, I've always felt that you're a good guy.

But... there's a lot of shit being levelled at you, and in my opinion, by remaining silent, you're convicting yourself.

Did you really do a denial of service attack on a guy who was investigating something about your program, by overwhelming his server with page requests?

If you did, that would be a very fucked-up thing to do, man..... illegal and stupid because it necessitates the scrutiny of law enforcement agencies that we'd rather not have scrutinizing us.

Well... DIDJA DO IT??? If you did, come out and say so, and apologize, and get it over with. If not, come out and say THAT!

I'm not trying to make a call either way... just asking you to explain what's going on, dude!!! Why are they saying you did that?

Don't know if anybody would admit to pulling a denial of service attack. be sort of like admitting to blowing something up.

get serious you guys, if someone wanted to do a DoS attack they would not use one of their best known domains to do it, I mean how many domains do you think Lensman has access to, hundreds at leeast, so I don't believe a word of their stupid accusations. But hey that's just me.

I agree. Stupid to use your own. But I have heard of others trying to stir the pot by hacking a domain to use on themselves. Usually the domain they hack is their 'enemies'. Shows their intelligence eh. lol

Proof is in the logs. Make your own conclusions. I heard some stuff on Netpond that the Feds will be taking a look at this.

I don't think anyone did a denial of service attack. I'm going on what that guy says, and he says he was sent 10,000 users in an hour and that overloaded the shared server that he was on. A denial of service attack is not real surfers.

We get 7,000,000 page views a day at this time. From what he has said, someone linked his site from ours. I'm not sure who did it. But if he's right and that it was our server, I feel badly even if he tried to badmouth our programs and others.

The funny thing is that I don't see how 10000 uniques in an hour could stop any server, especially when they are loading a basic 50K page or whatever. Certainly Microsoft and Unix machines can handle that without taking a breath.

I appreciate what you're saying, Lens, but put the code to load up the page in amateurpages.com window?

Why did that person do it?

Does it really matter? point is, it wasn't lensman, and it was a terrible exaggeration.

                    Does it matter?

Does it matter that a well-known sponsor may have done something like that?

And, if not Lensman.... then WHO?

I've NEVER pissed with, or questioned Lensman, and he's one of the very few people left who don't hate me.... and it was important enough for me to know, that I'm willing to increase my DISapproval rating to a full 100% ...

If Cybererotica, or CEN, or someone else did this, wouldn't you be majorly pissed?
