The White Album spoke to Manson about a race war. He wasn’t in Harlem and rarely saw black people yet felt the white man needed to overthrow the black folks.

With his views it’s surprising that he didn’t order the killings of black people.

His father was rumored to be black. No proof was ever obtained.

RIP to the victims of The Family

Friends of victims of the family (that I know) are kind of fucked up and have messed with justice as far as Leslie is concerned.

This morning I read an article by one of the Manson girls... She wasn't involved in the killings, but she was part of his cult. It was an amazing story. She left her parents at age 14 and quickly ran into Manson who made her feel "wanted" and... Of course he fucked her the first night. Basically she wanted Manson's affection, they all traded sex or favors in and out of the group, and when she didn't do what he wanted Manson would beat her.

He had the ability to make you feel beautiful and sexy. Most of the girls were homely or plain, lost and seeking attention. His Svengali attitude was a lure and he sadly took advantage of young girls.

Waaaaaaay back in high school I did a paper like a thesis and spent weeks at the library researching the evolution of Manson and The Family. It still scares me to think of what they did and how they were trained to think

I can understand this to a certain point. My kid is nineteen, and some of her friends are lost and confused. They can't stand their parents, their parents can't stand them, and aren't paying any attention to what's going on.

If Manson was born 1,500 years ago he would be regarded as a visionary prophet.

Personally I don't believe that the "helter skelter" thing is the reason they committed the murders. I think that was just some thing manson used to say during their trips to freak people out. I believe it was a drug debt that someone was owed (who probably didn't even live at the house anymore) or Manson wanted to get back at Terry Melcher for his failed music career. As for the writing on the wall, just more advice from manson. If you are going to do something, do it well and leave something "witchy". Someone who should of been forgotten long ago got famous for life because the media wanted something to blow up regarding "hippies".

And if a guy came along, offered them a place to stay with free drugs and booze, and made them feel special, they’d end up part of a Family. They’re high and bisexuality isn’t that scary so they entertain the men. They get caught up in godnose what and are brainwashed to do whatever is asked of them.

Guys get trapped like this, too. Kids want attention and love and being bad is exciting to them.

Last year an article I read said that approximately one thousand groups of runaways and throwaways were in the USA but most weren’t doing murder. Robbery, rape, drug heists, theft and more but they knew that they had to lay low to stay free. It speculated that most groups were out west in California and the Dakotas because the police weren’t active in certain areas and Indian land was left to the tribunal fathers. They didn’t search for criminals there and let the people investigate intruders themselves.

They’d hide people for money and weapons but only certain tribes were honest and kicked out the foreigners. It gave a lot of information about the people of the area and their way of life.

New York had shelters for runaway and throwaway people. They housed and fed them and they had to work and contribute. Jobs were found and training for better jobs was offered. But protesters have always had an issue with money given to them to improve their lives. Jobs and not prostitution and drug selling and a future for the kids. I believe they closed down most if not all state-funded shelters years ago, sadly.

I’ve always felt that the way to go is to establish shelters for these kids and train them for a job. Work with Burger King and other fast food places along with other businesses to train them and pay a training salary. They get room and board for free and the paycheck can help provide for them. Teach them to work, save, pay rent and food (not fast food) and be a functioning part of society. Go back to school and better themselves.

Many years ago there was the CETA program for youth to get jobs and learn a trade. It was considered a “black” program and white kids didn't get chosen very often. I remember a girl in high school who was black and her last name was Goldberg. Her mom was black and she had to prove her color when filling out job applications. If not interviewed then, she went through hoops to get them to interview her in person to prove her color. We had a history class together and her stories about double discrimination were frightening. CETA paid for school for secretarial training and she worked for the school department. She may still be there.

She could have easily been tossed aside and been a Manson-type girl except for the program that paid for school and paid her to go to school. It’s a dream but if they had programs to train people and pay them during training it would help with people sleeping outside, stealing for food, using drugs to escape, declines in prostitution and more.

This country is great but people need more help to thrive and survive. The cost of being at war for one day could improve the lives of thousands of people. Those people would pay taxes and spend money in our economy. The equipment alone in Iraq and Afghanistan could pay for life and economic improvements.

Off my soapbox for now. I get emotional about this country and spending and the future for kids today.
