Indeed. That 2-5 spot was gold. I had some galleries that did 2-300 signups from one listing.

The number of surfers doesn't make any money, it's the number of buyers that do. Back then with 10% of the traffic everyone was making 10 times more money. And everyone was saying traffic is king. LOL

if you would understand at least the basis of economy you would know why.

look her eis a statistic of the worldwide internet usage til 2017

the strong increase is because lower costs for internet connection attracted the groups with lower purchasing power.

if you think that you and the other neandethales would still make the money in a market where only the rich are cosuming you are completely wrong. eepecially in the top segment of the purchasing pyramide you would be kicked out faster as you can blink.

only 30-40 years ago a flight from europe to the united states was a 2 month wages for a normal worker. this is why fewer people could afford to fly and fewer airlines have been on the market. the falling price made it possible that every worker could afford such a flight (what is called PROSPERITY) and not only the competition is higher but there are around 50 times more jobs created around airtravel.

when my family got the first telephone in 1959 we have been the only one in the street and i had to go 20 times per day to our neighbors because someone called fro them.
the costs for the telephone compared to the household income in that time have been around 100 times higher. and if that would not go down i would probably still call my neighbors. in that time there have been all over germany around 10.000 jobs around telephone biz. today there are around 3 million.

as i said - if you would even understand 1% about economy you would simply not make such stupid statements.

Thommy we had porn before the Internet existed. You have no clue what porn shops made. You really are the most clueless of people.

And stop making links with other industries, it make you look stupid. If flights, phones or anything else were given away for free. The phone and plane industries would see a huge drop in sales.

Jerking off is a great drug.

https://www.chatelaine.com/health/se...ealthier-life/

https://www.talkspace.com/blog/5-rea...n-destressing/

Everyone in the porn industry should know this. Today maybe as low as 1-30,000 buys to pay for porn to jerk off. If the price of BW rose tomorrow to make Tubes unprofitable those figures would suddenly become 1-300. If porn came off the Internet and people had to buy porn to jerk off. The figure would become 1-30. Because $5 or even $30 a month isn't a big deal.

Because before the Internet the turn over of a porn shop was astronomical. Then there was Newsagents selling mags, phone lines, etc. All the Internet did was attract the offline buyers to buy online and then to not buy and not buy and get it for free.

again you approved how much you know about economy.
economic rules are valid through ALL industries.

the river will never stop flowing just because you stand next to it and cry that the stream is too strong for you.

just say thank you to your destiny that you could earn some money for a few years because you were a blind among blinds. but don't blame the one-eyed and certainly not the seeing for the fact that you are a blind.

do you still not realize that the only ones who don't laugh at you here are the ones who are just as helflow and unsuccessful as soon as professionals come on the pitch?

you seem to me like a cyclist with 2 flat tires complaining that he lost in the formula1 race and searching desperately for proof that the formula1 cars do not exist at all.

are you aware that you are the biggest laughing stock in the complete adult industry?
did anybody EVER tell you that we have a phrase in the industry when someone speaks out a really bad and senseless idea, that this is called "paulmarkhamming" ?

your name does not stand for high quality porn producer - it stands for the opposite of smart. sorry that I do not have better news for you.

I am remembering numbers like 10,000,000 / day around the peak for a couple of the biggest (the hun, worldsex etc). Don't know why thats stuck in my head. I think because of sex tracker.

PS: Patrick once made a thread that he broke X million uniques a day - could have been 4 or 5, I don't recall exactly. If someone is bored feel free to search that thread, should be at least 10 years back.

I remember how exciting it was to get a gallery listed! I was a gallery designing machine back in those days

He was steady at the 4 mil mark but probably had peaks way above that.

Never did TGP, just MGP.

Freehugemovies still posts here.. Porn bot, eutopia movies.. Fuck bandwidth was a bitch. I remember every Comcast account had 15gigs of available hosting.

I remember switching from AOL email spamming to testing out the first legit gallery submissions.. I had no idea they could equal AOL sales and all legit at that.

You are wrong, no one had 10million a day. The Hun had 3-4 million a day and he had the most traffic according to sextracker.
