SFFAudio.com Just discovered these guys podcast - They play an older (Public Domain) sci-fi audiobook and then they all discuss it... All pretty normal so far... But...
What's unintentionally funny is that they will begin by saying that it's not the author's best work, that it was just a filler story in an anthology, or that he needed to submit 'something' to a magazine to make the rent etc (all valid opinions) but then go on for about an hour all trying to attribute hidden meanings to every last part of the story, like some kinda wannabe GFY conspiracy nutjobs... I've been having a real good laugh at their interpretation of the imagery in some of the Philip K Dick stuff, like 'The Cuckoo Clock'... & anyway here's a question for you all... If I asked you set a clock to 'Two of Ten' for me, would you set it to 09.58 or 10.02 ?  |
