    Electronic Organizer or Tablet

I need recommendations for an inexpensive password keeper. The popular ones on Amazon I’ve already bought and discarded years ago.

I was thinking of a portable tablet for the keeper and not needing an internet connection. I’d use it just for passwords.

The portable organizer types get poor reviews for the most part.

The tablet idea is best so I don’t use batteries. My iPad Mini would work but I need a charger cord. I’ve not used it for years and I think it stopped working. If I find it I’ll try to upset it. I’ve a box of cords I’ll check.

Any ideas for an electronic organizer or tablet for passwords? Please list links. I’m tired of resetting passwords every day. Writing them down is not good as my writing abilities are gone. I can’t read what I write.

    Prefer plug in over batteries.

I’ve researched it before and I worried about hacking. With a device, it’s safer.

I thought of that last night. I’m afraid if I lose my iPhone I’d be stuck with no escape.

I thought of buying a cheap cellphone and only use it for passwords. I’d not need phone connection or anything else. But all phones I saw required a connection and can’t be used just for notes. I’m still looking because if I get a good used phone, I don’t need to hook it up. eBay has used phones but I’m leery about buying from there. Used iPhones are several hundred dollars and my iPhone 6s would be awesome. But, I’m not sure what I did with it... I think I dumped it because it isn’t around plus it was having issues.

I’ll ask my bff what he did with his 6s and maybe, just maybe, I’ll be lucky.

I looked for older used iPhones but couldn’t find them. If you know of a source, please let me know. I only need the Notes or Address Book apps.

Found my old iPhone 6S and the charger. Deleted all but Notes and email and have started typing in passwords and usernames. So far it is working out fine and it didn’t cost me anything. Each time I update it I’ll copy/paste and email it to myself and print it out. Just in case it dies on me, I’m protected.

Thanks to all who posted to help. MrBaldBastard and I thought alike and I feel good. No software to be hacked, no device that crashes (again) and recycling the old iPhone is better than selling it for $25 or adding to the landfill.

I love when a day is great and I can sleep with less worries.

I keep everything on two thumb drives, one in a safe the other just hidden. I update as needed. Both are encrypted
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                think about that

I presume if you use a password app it will be generating random passwords? You're going to manually type a password in every time you log in somewhere?

I've been thinking of a dedicated phone for Google Authenticator, which is used for Two Factor Authorisation. Something which sits on my desk rather than in my pocket, to reduce the risk of it being lost/stolen or damaged. Recovering access to an account when you have a non-working or lost 2FA device is often a lot more painful, sometimes impossible.

No password app. Some sites remember my pass but occasionally they ask for your password. I’d rather have it written down in case I need it.

The old iPhone won’t leave here and it’s hidden away from others. Flash drives are great but I use a laptop and iPad. The iPad needs an adapter to use a flash drive.

I’m set for now but retrieving my passwords is a pain.
