For fuck's sakes man...you REALLY think that blue collar workers in the Rust Belt of the United States voted for Trump instead of Hillary because of some ads on Facebook?

Or do you think it MIGHT have been because he ran a much, much better campaign, actually went to their states (Hillary did not), and ran on trade and the economy?

And no, Romney would have never listened to that info. Then again, Sweet Baby Jesus Obama ridiculed Romney for thinking that Russia was our adversary onstage on national television in the 2012 debate between the two of them.

And who was the President when the Russian's pulled all their failed stunts in 2016? Who KNEW about it and did nothing? Who did Congressman David Nunes warn when he went to the Obama Whitehouse telling them the Russian's were doing it but got ignored?
And who was it that went on the campaign trail and on national television and laughed at Donald Trump about elections being able to be "rigged" and said it was IMPOSSIBLE for that to happen?

Who did all that again?

OH YEAH! It was President Barrack "Sweet Baby Jesus, A Thrill Up My Leg" Obama.
:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

You need to get off Obama's cock. He's not going to fuck you no matter how much you talk about him.

I don't care about Obama. I don't care about Trump. I don't care about Hillary or any of them for that matter. What I care about is getting the best person for the job to be president. I don't know if Russia affected the election or not. I'm not interested in litigating that. I am interested in stopping it from happening again. Even if it had no affect this time, that doesn't mean it won't in 2020 or 2024 and beyond. The more we encourage it, the worse it's going to get.

Sorry, but to me anyone running for POTUS should not be accepting help and information from foreign governments and agents. If you are fine with that happening, so be it.

Don't be an asshole. There are already enough of those.

Pointing out the truth and the hypocrisy of this whole thing makes you uneasy I take it.

What exactly is it that you think "happened" anyway?

Hillary and the DNC bought and paid for that fake RUSSIAN dossier. They did so to use it against Trump. And boy have they done so.
They have damn near destroyed our country with it.

Yet, you and the media pretend that's just fine. But let Trump say he'd "like to hear it" in regards to dirt from another country? OMG!!! IMPEACH!

Dude, you are losing any sense of logic in this because of your hatred for Trump.
I see it every fucking day from people I know are not stupid...but they act willfully ignorant because of their hatred.

I don't care what happened or who did it. If it was Hillary, she should be investigated and punished if found guilty. If Obama, Biden, Trump, Bernie, anyone gets help from a foreign government they should be investigated and punished if found guilty.

Just one quick question. It's a simple yes or no question. Do you think it should be perfectly legal and okay for a presidential candidate to accept and use foreign aid in their campaign?

The reason I responded to you in the first place is that first post. Doesn't sound like a guy who "don't care". Sounds like a guy with a foregone conclusion type of bias against ONE person (Trump).

When I brought up Hillary or Obama you told me to "get off Obama's cock".

If you (or anyone else) seriously is concerned about what happened (and I don't believe that anyone is...I think it's all about "Get Trump")...then why hasn't the media went after the Clinton campaign's misdeeds?
Instead they spend all day long calling the President a "liar" and trying to undermine everything he is doing with trade and foreign policy in a bid to try and cost him the election in 2020.

Hell...I have been watching the hosts on MSNBC and CNN practically badger Democrat Congressmen to immediately start impeachment proceedings.

Never mind what they said BEFORE the Mueller report came out.
Once it didn't say what they wanted it to say...they are ready to move on impeachment anyway.

This whole nonsense of Trump answering a question from ABC news being touted as new "proof" that he should be impeached is just more REAL proof of the insanity taking place.

The media isn't even remotely curious about the "pay to play" that took place when Hillary was Secretary of State.
They showed little interested in then-Vice President Joe Biden using U.S. funds to get a prosecutor fired in the Ukraine who was investigating his son's shady shit over there...and then once the prosecutor was fired: BILLIONS of dollars flowed from the U.S. govt.

Did you even know about that? Maybe. But not many people do. The media isn't reporting it with any veracity, and certainly not giving it 1/1000th of the airtime they give to attacking Trump 24/7

Let's say a foreign government discovers one of the Presidential candidates was taking money from a foreign government.

So you think revealing or using that information is wrong!!!!

Paying an American company 13 million $ for information ( no matter where it came from ) using campaign funds is not a crime. Accepting information of value from a foreign entity free of charge is, whats so difficult to understand ?

You need to read more.

Republicans, not Hillary, paid Christopher Steele, a private person not a government, in a country that is an Ally, not a Foe, for research. When the republicans canceled the investigation, the DNC picked it up.

Russia, a Foe of the US, committed a crime when they hacked the DNC email servers, and offered it to Trump. (If) (The) Trump (Campaign) used that information, he committed a crime.

What idiot Trump said yesterday is that he would do it again.

No because Britain is not a foe of the US, and the information collected was not stolen.

Not paying for it, not commissioning it...just listening to someone offering it.

I don't know if its treasonous, but yes this is illegal or at least just as bad too. Here's why: If Russia gave Trump information that was stolen from the DNC, this itself is illegal because Russia is considered a hostile power to the US. Next, Russia would then have power over Trump. "Do what we tell you to do or we will spill the bean-ski's, Komrade!". Russia could then get Trump to push to change policies that could then help Russia.

Get it?

The "Republicans" gave up on that long, long before Christopher Steele and the Russian dossier were ever involved.
That was 100% the Clinton campaign paying for that. $13 MILLION dollars worth. There was no "investigation" that "republicans canceled". It was all anti-Trump research. The Republican anti-Trumpers (elitists like Bill Krystal) stopped paying Fusion GPS when they realized that Trump was going to win the nomination.

The "Republicans" were one client. The DNC was a totally different client. I know the media has convinced you that two separate clients equal the same exact thing. They don't. They don't in your business, my business, or anyone's business.
What the DNC did with Fusion GPS was completely different than what the Republicans did when they hired them.

And NO...President Trump did not get "offered" stuff that Russia allegedly "hacked" the DNC email servers for. ALL of that had already been put out on Wiki Leaks. There was nothing left to "offer".

You are spreading misinformation Mark. Which is what keeps people constantly divided and fighting.

The ONLY campaign that paid for and colluded with a foreign govt. for "dirt" on their opponent was the Democrat National Committee with the Clinton Campaign.

Not at all. It's exactly proof of what I'm saying.

The Congress could do this right now. They won't. Doesn't matter if you put a "D" or an "R" in front of their names. Doesn't matter if you call them a "staunch ally" (whatever that means) of Pres. Trump.

Go over to the House. Pelosi and the Dems are in charge. And they are the ones who simply will not get over the election or the Mueller Report.
So WHY doesn't Pelosi put up a bill?

She won't. And yet they profess to be "concerned" about the 2020 election. What a load of b.s.

You are so caught up in believing in "Team Sports" for politics that you just refuse to see that they are ALL corrupt.

Congress and the Senate are the home of no term limits. They are lifetime pieces of garbage.

For fuck's sakes man...please.
I fucking told you it should be illegal. I also fucking told you that the Congress is CORRUPT.

And just because a particular Senator brings something up doesn't mean that they would actually VOTE on it.

Like the "Green New Deal". When that was brought up for a vote in the Senate a month ago...the Democrats ran away from it.

You act ignorant. As if you don't understand "political theater" or politics in any way at all.

I don't believe your act. And if you really are this ignorant...then why must you incessantly come on here over and over to spread misinfomation?

It's pretty simple...Russia, China, North Korea, Syria, and every adversary we have had in history has tried to "influence" both our elections AND govt. officials in power.

The lifetime bureaucrats in Congress KNOW this. They aren't ignorant like you pretend to be.

And yet they have never done anything about it.

Why?

Because they all are on the dole either directly or indirectly (through lobbyists) to foreign governments.

Pelosi could call for a vote RIGHT NOW. And she has all the votes she needs to pass something in the House.
They certainly have wasted their entire time in control of that chamber so far...so why not?

Because she is as corrupt as her Republican counter-parts.

That's why I voted for Trump. He isn't a Republican and he's not a Democrat. He's an American.

Paul Markham 06-14-2019 08:59 AM

Should a candidate for the President sit on information that an opponent has done something illegal only because that info came from a foreign government?

We all know Trump will push the boundaries, but if a government official is only allowed to work with the info he gets from domestic sources. It's a loss for Democracy.

did you not learn from the past?

2 days before the elections such a case went on hillary.
it influenced the elections and after that it was just warm air.
or is hillary in jail ?

so what do you think trump would do with such an information even when it is without any prove ?

every fucking corrupt government in the world would give hin every hoax he wants - he can use it a few days before elections and after that he can say it was a missinformation form someone else.

and do you really SEE the difference when such an appeal is made by a unimportant canidate or the incumbent president ???

do you really believe that something like that could even be SAID by any european leader ? it would not take a week and he would be out of office - and this is good so.

sure trump need dirt on others because he have not a single qualification so he can only win by telling the people that others are even less qualified than him.

If I have any forgone conclusion it is that all of our political leaders seem to be on tilt right now, but the Republican party has lost its mind completely. That was my point with that post about what Republicans used to stand for and what they stand for now.

Trump's name comes up because he is at the forefront of this right now by admitting on TV he would take foreign aid in his 2020 campaign.

It all needs to be cleaned up. They all need to go.

I don't feel sorry for Trump because he brings most of this on himself.

My position is very simple. Anyone running for POTUS should not be allowed to take help of any kind from foreign governments. No matter the party. No matter who they are. No matter the reason.

I don't care who did it in the past. The past if over and we can't change that. We can change the future. Let's do better and expect better from our leaders going forward.

Robbie you suffer from cult brainwashing. You will make excuses for anything to justify what your dear leader says..

I dare you to go back 4 years ago and look at the things you were outraged at Obama for and then compare that to what you now make excuses for.

For the record I'm being serious and not trolling..

Hey Robbie, Look -

I'm happy to have this discussion with you until we're both blue in the face, but can you please lay-off the language with me? I ge t that this is GFY but there's no need to make it personal with me.

(Or Rochard for that matter. He's cool beans.)

This should be a bipartisan thing that should be easy to pass and get signed.

^^ THIS TOO! ^^

Robbie - Tell you me that you agree with Kane here. You have to.

FACT CHECK, Steele, the foreign spy, was hired later on when it was a Democrat operation.

You mean IF they hacked the DNC. There was never any evidence of that. It's been debunked, verified by the former top NSA guy.

None of that happened. Please turn off the Rachel Maddow conspiracy hour.

Did Trump say he wouldn't call the FBI?

What if the info wasn't a crime but would make the candidate look bad to the electorate?

What goes for one candidate applies to them all.

You mean like he did before? :1orglaugh

“I don’t think in my whole life I’ve ever called the F.B.I. In my whole life,” Mr. Trump said dismissively. “You don’t call the F.B.I. You throw somebody out of your office, you do whatever you do.” He added, “Give me a break — life doesn’t work that way.”

https://nypost.com/2019/05/06/joe-bidens-china-problem/

Indeed, the younger Biden has long been in deep with China’s “not bad” elite, as Peter Schweizer revealed in his book “Secret Empires.” Notably, Hunter’s private equity firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, swung a $1.5 billion investment deal with the state-owned Bank of China even as his then-vice president dad was engaged in high-end diplomacy with Beijing.

no conflict of interest there, like hillary with the russian :winkwink:

Well Trump life does work like that and unless you're willing to go to the police, FBI you're breaking the law and not able to able to "throw somebody out of your office".

Stupid statement.

Now tell us when he didn't before, what info did he get about a politician breaking the law and not reporting it to the FBI?
