uuumm strange......don't u guys (canadians) have a US Bank account ? Just deposit there and let it sit till the currency improves. Or your so broke ass that every cheque u get u have to cash it in ASAP ?

thats a complete waste of money. plus nobody knows if it will improve relative to the canadian dollar.

interest from a bank account is a waste of money. there are much better ways to use your money than collecting some pathetic interest rate.

yeah i agree interest bank rates are pathetic , but i am just saying that there's nothing wrong with your money sitting in account its yours and not going anywhere. Thats what i do and when the rates go UP then i transfer it , if it doesn't no big deal .

The interest in the bank account is less than the rate the USA dollar is devaluing as compared to the Canadian dollar. So if you sit it there it's a loss. The interest rate on a US dollar savings account is like what, maybe 0.5 %

I try to get mine into a bond fund that has a rate high enough to counter this as well as security.

It's tough to be a Canadian these days, the man is really taking it out on us.

bonds aren't really a great place to stash your money right now. interest rates will most likely go up from here, which means lower bond prices.

and yes there is something wrong with sticking your cash in a low interest rate savings account. you're losing out on what could be made if you put that money in equities. there are some solid companies out there that pay a 7% dividend yield. i'll take that over some dinky bank account interest anyday. especially when the greenback might not rebound, meaning an actual loss on your money.

The USD$ is the weakest it has been for ages Its not other country's doing better its the USD$ doing so badly.Im going to hang on for a few weeks and see before I cash my next lot of checks. I do belive it's time Bush takes his head out of his ass and fixes some domestic problem's.

Whats this WE all about...you have nothing to do with the american dollar. I think all people are saying is they hope the US economy rebounds. I'm not gonna slam the US but alot of you guys should really look whats happening here, when your dollar is falling over a cent in one day this means somethings wrong and maybe bush should worry about more than what war to fight. The US economy is dropping like a rock and that effects all our sales. Oh, ya...its not all bad I have been loading up on paid traffic and all other USD expenses.
