Its sitting in your bank account like a savings account and collecting interest. How is that a waste of money totally doesn't make sense u should elaborate. So if the currency doesn't change anytime soon then u pull it out at a later time.

yeah i agree interest bank rates are pathetic , but i am just saying that there's nothing wrong with your money sitting in account its yours and not going anywhere. Thats what i do and when the rates go UP then i transfer it , if it doesn't no big deal . :glugglug

The interest in the bank account is less than the rate the USA dollar is devaluing as compared to the Canadian dollar. So if you sit it there it's a loss. The interest rate on a US dollar savings account is like what, maybe 0.5 %

I try to get mine into a bond fund that has a rate high enough to counter this as well as security.

It's tough to be a Canadian these days, the man is really taking it out on us.

bonds aren't really a great place to stash your money right now. interest rates will most likely go up from here, which means lower bond prices.


and yes there is something wrong with sticking your cash in a low interest rate savings account. you're losing out on what could be made if you put that money in equities. there are some solid companies out there that pay a 7% dividend yield. i'll take that over some dinky bank account interest anyday. especially when the greenback might not rebound, meaning an actual loss on your money.

Whats this WE all about...you have nothing to do with the american dollar. I think all people are saying is they hope the US economy rebounds. I'm not gonna slam the US but alot of you guys should really look whats happening here, when your dollar is falling over a cent in one day this means somethings wrong and maybe bush should worry about more than what war to fight. The US economy is dropping like a rock and that effects all our sales. Oh, ya...its not all bad I have been loading up on paid traffic and all other USD expenses.
