Aircraft carriers are huge targets - prime targets. This is why when they go out to sea they go with dozens of other ships called aircraft carrier groups. The other ships are to protect the aircraft carrier, by acting as bait and also searching out for threats such as submarines. The goal of the opposing force is to sneak a submarine in to take out the aircraft carrier.
However, there is only a handful of countries in the world that have such submarines that could take on an aircraft carrier and an aircraft carrier group. These would be limited to China and Russia. Other countries include the UK, France, and India. Iran doesn't have any nuclear submarines, only seven or eight old diesel submarines.

Nobody won't use submarines for that. The humanity has invented cruise missiles for that.
Actually this is just a kiddie game. The Russian military doctrine says that the only way to fight aircraft carriers is the tactical nukes like SS-N-12 "Sandbox" - a small cruise missile with a 350 kiloton warhead blown up at 200 meter attitude will sink down the whole aircraft group. It's quick, simple, cheap and very effective.

We have scalar weapons now.. Don't believe me? Just check out that space shuttle that we accidentally shot down when it was re-entering the atmosphere. 10 years ago.. Some type of automated defense system, probably 20 years old.
Think about that now.. How fast do they fly on re-entry..

People still think of the stealth bomber as high tech.. That fucker was declassified 35 years ago.. Meaning, every space shuttle you see via rocket power is dead tech wasted resources only meant to allocate power and tilt the ladder.
Let's just call that stuff, extremely incredibly traditional warfare. Just like boots on the ground. Used only to manipulate public opinion.
If any real threats actually cropped up (or acts of God) you might just get to see what real fucking magic we have.

That stealth fighter was only seen on radar because he had opened his bomb bay doors. Dude. First of all, your "stealth" fighters always have to open their bomb bay doors or how do you call that shit. Otherwise why someone needs to use them? The second thing is it was shot down by an S-125 missile designed (guess when?) in fuckin' 1950s! Even North Korea has much newer weapons.
Now listen what America says about the modern S-400 missiles.
On the video above, the America says that S-400 was made to take down the aircrafts like F-35. Guess when (again) the mentioned missile system was designed? It was designed in 1980s. Now remind me when your F-35 was designed?
P.S. For those who don't know how the stealth technology works. It really makes the targets less "visible" to the systems of 1950s. When I say "less" I don't say "not". The modern (if you can call an anti-aircraft system designed in 1980s a modern one) does not give a flying fuck on how "stealth" the shit is.
