When you dream, do you 'talk' in your dreams and have people 'talk back'?

Only realised this recently, but I never talk to anyone in my dreams. I have long conversations with people sometimes, but it's just dawned on me I don't actually talk to them...

It's a bit mundane and hard to explain what I mean, but I'll try. Suppose I was going to say to someone 'Shall we put the TV on?' and they replied 'No, lets go out instead' I wouldn't actually ask them and listen to them reply... Id just sorta have known that I had asked them, and know what their reply was. I wouldn't actually hear my own voice asking or their voice replying...

I only recently realised this, and it's kinda a personal 'mind blown' situation. In Fact the other night I dreamt I was walking past someone and they actually SAID 'Hi' and I heard them, and it was such a shock it actually woke me up!

So, am I alone in this or not? Do you actually hear your own voice and voices of others in dreams, or just 'know what was said'?

But do you HEAR them tell you that they 'Had a really good shit' or do you just 'Know it' ?

I tend to have alot of one sided conversations, already knowing the outcome. But often there is a dialect as well....never thought about it? You are recently taking CBD, your dreams will become much more lucid I have been told!

Yeah, Im tending to have more vivid memorable dreams that I can remember, which is why this weird thing just occurred to me. Was just interested in the consensus, but yes, one way convos that you know the outcome of sounds like my stuff, but I really have just realised that I never actually talk myself nor actually hear anyone else's voices ! Id never thought about it before - Its just really weird !

I do not dream anymore... I lay down, get up 5 or 6 hours later and continue what I was doing..

You just wake up when you’re not in REM sleep so dreams get erased from your memory.

The introductory class of my college psych course the instructor asked, "Do you dream in color?"

                    I answered no.

                    He argued we do.

I have full on conversations in my dreams. I also talk in my sleep. My ex would always tell me the next morning what I said. One of the dreams I remember, and him telling me about the next morning, I was talking to God and asked him about life and he said it's like a roller coaster, ride it or watch it go by. Lame I know but yeah I have conversations in dreams.
