Yeah, Gold Rush boned me over also. They paid me on time every pay period, until one day they just stopped. I contacted them, but never heard back from them. It was really odd.
Another one of my first sponsors was Elite Cash, those guys have been around for a while.
How about the Cyber Thrill Casino, there was a lot of shit going on about them. I actually got paid a couple of times, but got boned by them also, as well as many others.

shit, my first was a company who's name escapes me but I advertised thier sites "honey next door" "my sweet teens" and later "sir sexalot"
They let us use text links and I thought I was raking in the dough! The only restriction was that the site name had to be part of the text link.
I remember calling them up and speaking to some 60 yr old woman asking her if "help sir sexalot storm the hairy castle" was ok for a text link.
it was great fun back then.

I think my first program was probably IEG..LoL! Started getting those random $.03 checks that weren't worth the paper or the postage. Then WebSplash by Keyinfo. They paid a penny a click and you could use text links similar to the ones 12clicks talked about.
Ahh..the good old days. Things seemed so simple...you could live good off a couple free sites posted on PK.

Thanks from tips from a fellow webmasters, I started with AP and GammaCash. I didn't convert for Gammacash within half a month, and they changed me over to the partnership program. They didn't even give me a chance to send them any hits! So after that, I said FUCK IT and dropped their links, and only linked them on my links pages, which at the time was useless traffic (nobody was tracking hits from my links page as well as my main page - the days before scripts) so I thought I might as well send them somewhere, so I send them to gammacash to maybe make me some money. I didn't. AP is still my best sponsor.
