I just spent 1200usd buying content from this guy - and its the last time I do biz with him:

1) I made a stupid mistake, and dl'ed content via normal ftp, when i actually should have done it directly to my server. I notice the server to download from is of a local cogent pipe, so I ask him how much he would charge for a second download of the sets i bougth to my ded server. Answer: 200USD (on top of the $1200+ i already paid)
I know it was my bad - but knowing that he has a flatrate cogent @ ~0.1/gb, man...that sucks!

2) I asked for offsite sets (sets that were not currently on *************), knowing that everyone would jump on the bandwagon, it would be cool to get some that wouldnt be totally ruined by overexposure after the $5 sale. He said sure, but price was 12/set - still a very good price. He promised me that the sets wouldnt be on the site "for weeks" and that they wouldnt be included in the 5$ sale. Next day I see that 10 of the sets are incl in the sale this morning...yeah, not a lot of money, but damn - it sucks to be cheated..

He promised me model releases and IDs. Then after I'd sent him payment for some samples, he told me that the docs were going to cost me an extra $800 administrative fee.

yes, you can dl it - but only once, which is fair enough i guess.
I just made the mistake of downloading it to my local PC, when I actually should have downloaded it to one of my servers. And then the guy wanted 200usd from me if i wanted to dl it again. Great service huh?

So - just make sure you dont make any mistakes like that, then youll be fine...

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT YOUR SOBEGIRL DOWNLOAD:

Do not play back the files from the ftp window. Only one instance of these files is allowed out of the SoBeGirl ftp server. This is my security implementation. If you play the files from the FTP server or let another person download them first you will find empty directories. First download the files to your own computer and then play them back from there.

And, you may find some very short small files in the sequence of mpg files. These files are the result of an automatic cutting/chopping process. They are not errors and you are not missing any content that you paid for. You can simply delete these files or use them on your gallery or tours.

Also, if you wish to have the mpg files longer than one minute in length you can string them together. If you need help with this SoBeGirl will provide a small program for you free of charge and give you instructions on what to do. Contact webmaster@************* if you would like further information.

yes, you can dl them to where ever you want - I just bought a lot of content, so I wanted it on my servers, and not my local pc.

And instead of helping me out that jerk wants $200 on top of the 1200 i already paid.

I was planning on picking up $500 worth of video before the sale was over until I talked to one of my friends about his recent purchase. It's a great sale, but I'd rather not do business with companies that are rude to their clients.

I've bought plenty of good shit from Sobe without a problem. He's been shooting content for a while and all his i's are dotted and t's crossed. Just follow his policies and you're good to go.

He flips me shit when I deserve it and I do the same to him... and neither one of us makes anything of it because we're each making enough to not give a fuck about it.

If you don't have the business skills to get him to give you a break on a $200 download fee or an $800 model release fee, then that's on you bro.

I've made good money off his content and that makes him bitter but... he's still my main motherfucker
