He had a small waterwheel electric generator that he used for electricity to his shed. It's cool that this guy was able to do so much good for his village I don't know what he's doing wearing that red hard hat though he's really into it

The dress up thing is kinda something you see in places like Kenya or Somalia. You wouldn't think it, but they value greatly nice clothes. They usually don't have opportunity to have nice homes or nice things so they make an effort to have nice clothes. It's sort of their status symbol. (notice in this documentary even the "normal" people are still kinda dressed nice for a place with dirt streets..)

I think it also is a way to say hey's I'm not some hoodlum in a grass hut, so they try to dress well.

Here is a decent documentary from RT of all places showing some of the extreme side of it.. Basically they can't buy flashy cars, speed boats or big houses so they often focus on dressing very ummm "fabulous"...



It's kinda a funny documentary TBH but gives you a little incite on why they often dress like that. Perhaps it's a Kenyan Hipster thing..

It is what it is... I don't think anyone is building them a power plant anytime soon, but still cool to see what some random kid who dropped out of school can do in a 3rd world slum hole.

However maybe some people will see that these people arent all Muslim terrorists just people who want and do things just like anyone else they simply lack our resources which is luxury to us so their ability is often limited.

Then post a picture of me.. I have literally only ever posted 1 picture of myself online and it was on Facebook years ago as a profile picture when I hooked up with a girl I used to go to school with.

I don't mind posting pictures of stuff I build, like cars, vans ect on social media but I don't post my actual picture. The reason for this is I think it's very clear that facebook and other social media is used by the govt for databases of people and I don't like being in databases if I can at all control it because you never know what that will be used for in the future..

Example as tech progresses private companies who have already scanned your facebook & instagram pictures will and can already scan your face and ID you. This will eventually be used to track people not online but in real world. Facebook is already doing this and they will or are selling that info..

I mean I'm not so much worried about the govt as they already can get my picture from my drivers license, TWIC card & passport but it's more about companies and what they do with our data.. You can't stop the govt from doing it but I can at least stop commercial ventures from IDing me via facial recognition..
