An 18-month-old child was shot in Houston in what appeared to be a road-rage shooting, police said.
The boy’s father was driving on the Southwest Freeway on Wednesday around 1:10 p.m. when he accidentally cut off the suspected gunman, according to Assistant Police Chief James Jones.
The father then tried to apologize, but that’s when he saw the man brandish a weapon, Jones said.
The suspect allegedly fired two shots, one of which struck the little boy.
“The driver, the father, he said he tried to apologize and then after the shooting he pulled into the gas station and rushed with his child inside the convenience store and asked for help,” Jones said.
