Which Pay Host do you like the best?

Well, I'm finally getting traffic, a LOT lately, and I'm on a host not geared towards adult and paying $6/GB.

What hosts does everyone recommend? What is a reasonable cost per GB for overage?

I'm looking at ProHosters, but they've had some downtime lately, so I'd like to hear others that people use and like.

the webhost pays about $1 to $3 for a gig
of data.

that's just something to keep in mind
while doing the math. Also, optimize

You'll have to e-mail him about specifics.

You might email [email protected] and look their pricing over. They have killer service, live tech chat and get back to you quick on support tickets as well. Tell him Gem from Gemcam sent you and he might toss in something extra. I haven't been a pest lately. lol But I wouldn't promise that.

The best host in the whole damn world as far as I am concerned is in my signature down there.......

Vector Hosting..... wow........ he hosts all my sites and I have never had a bit of trouble with him..... and he has some pretty cool little benefots that you can take advantage of as well...... some really cool and otherwise very expensive scripts, with Vector you can pay monthly on them and not have to shell out that kind of cash right up front........

All my sites are faster than they have ever been, and downtime? I don't think the guy believes in downtime at all... LOL

I can't say enough about their tech support either......... the man never sleeps. I have gone to them with some pretty wild questions and always get an answer within literally minutes of asking it.

It's not the cheapest in the land, but you get what you pay for. While I don't know all the techie mumbo-jumbo....... I do know I have never spent anytime trying to find him to get anything fixed, it's never been down to fix it......

I use National Net, Blue Gravity, and Dover for my hosting, and I can vouch for them all. But you might want to check out http://www.hosts4porn.com and see a bunch of other options...

I would check out www.candidhosting.com - Flat rate of 2.50 per gig. I like them so much I have moved all my sites over to them and have almost cut my BW bill in half by doing it.

I'm with Autson.Com for my hosted sites and am very happy with them. Good service and stuff at a good price ... I just wish there were realtime stats.

I recommend doing a search from both here and porncity's bbs. You'll find alot of stuff on this. Also look out for the occassional inserts with some sponsor paychecks offering special deals; some of them look pretty lucrative

Westmaster seems cool. I use them for a month now. Run well. And not too expensive.
Any host that charges over $2 a gig is a ripoff basically, webair is like $5 a gig or something.
My main host www.svwh.net charges only $1.80 a gig. Damm good support.

Well I went with westmaster. They seemed to be not the cheapest, but in the lower range.

I've changed this message 3 times! I thought you could only do wire transfer with westmaster, but they allow paypal, which I'm already signed up for so I'm going to stay with them.

I'm kind of surprised no one mentioned ev1servers.net but looks like you guys are talking about virtual hosting? I've got a semi private rack at EV1. That gives me my own private switch with only my servers using it. I can put up to 5 on this private rack (I have the cheapest solution they offer) and my servers have 100mpbs DEDICATED for my five machines. I only have one server at this time though. I've got 2000Gb and if I need more I add a cheap Linux box to the rack and get another 1500Gb for $130.00. The rack is $99.00 but I think the price has gone up to $169 now. EV1 has been VERY good to me.
