SHUT DOWN! Why you should operate honorably: A case study

If you've been paying attention to SERPs over the last year or two, you will have noticed a trend:

Many low-quality embedded tube sites are ranking highly, by using xvideos CDN directly.

Meaning, they don't use xvideos embedded player. They use their own html5 video player, which directly loads the video from xvideos CDN. So they are stealing xvideos bandwidth. Normally if you use the xvideos embedded player they show a popup, so they get paid. But if you link directly to the CDN, you are just stealing their bandwidth.

I have been seeing this for a long time and wondering when xvideos would do something about it. Sometime in the last few days, they did:

    https://xnxx2.pro/v/1777850111.html

This site is part of a large network that has been ranked using blackhat tactics and steals bandwidth from xvideos. This site in particular has achieved alexa rank 1600. Many of the other sites using this script, have alexa <10k. If you pay attention to SERPs you will have certainly seen these sites. They are low-effort with bad search results and design, but they have been able to rank incredibly well because they look like unique content to google (the content is coming from directly from a CDN, not from iframes).

It will be interesting to see how the webmaster of these sites reacts to this. How will he modify his sites, will they continue to rank.

But one thing's for sure: For the time being, his sites are unusable and will have horrible on-site stats. All of his content, is gone. He will be severely impacted.

Same story with letmejerk[.]com, they're hotlinking MG tubes.

Probably have a lot of IP's on disposal to generate links.

It's a bit strange that Xvideos does not seem to have any content protection in place, or at least it does not work at all. Their CDN provider should be able to supply them with token authentication and domain locks easily.

There is an obfuscated JS at https://admessage.support/system_domain.js after page load, I guess the magic is happening there. Also the video has a hash:

This kind of thing is easy to do, but difficult to scale.
