          The problem is each component they're adding also can take hours to make and texture

          eg click! there's a couch

          .. that couch is a few days work

          basically that's why I primarily do for a living now, making those components and selling them. Even in that field there's huge competition with mega Chinese based 3d art companies, the key like any business is find a niche and own it. I specialize in particle work.. fairy sparkles, explosions and illuminated magic.

              Actually, (and I'm being pedantic here) that's not *actually* what they ARE doing Which is why I thought the video was kinda clever

                  He is going round DELETING items, one after another and moving backwards through the apartment. Then the film is being played in reverse Hence it appearing to be so fast

                      Switch and bait? I have no idea about farCry I thought that just gave you the ability to reuse assets already in the game. While there's been and continues to be amazing advances in how 3d models are made, they're still require labour intensive editing. AI will eventually win ! but currently a 1meg model I can make.. AI can do it but the size is 10 Gb.. try down loading a room full of those models on your phone ;)
