and generally #1 for wind power is that wind doesn’t blow reliably.
tack on the ridiculous cost and space required, threat to wildlife, and the fact that nobody wants to look at or listen to the fucking things and you got a pretty shitty solution.

Every form of energy has pros and cons its a matter of using the correct form in each location.

Another alternative form is wave power little in the way of cons except for perhaps location and cost. Works 24 hours a day 365 days a year in the correct locations ?

It's a bit like the Vanity Wall scenario. A wall works well in some locations but is not effective in all. A fence might also be effective in some locations, as would increased patrols, even automatic drone patrols and increased border crossing / checkpoint security. It's all a matter of location, location, location.

It doesn't matter. When the wind is blowing it generates power, and some of that power is stored in batteries. When it's not windy out, power generated by the wind earlier is used.

For the record, there is no stopping wind or solar power. It's cheaper to produce.. There are wind farms all over Republican run states. I've seen them all over.

Republicans in Congress don't tell their dumb followers that they are supporting wind farms in their own states because their agenda isn't to stop renewable power.

Their agenda is to stop you from freely powering your own homes.. Right now today, the tech is here to completely power your home on Solar/wind with battery banks. People already do this, however obviously not everyone can do it and it's expensive to do now but it will continue to get cheaper and cheaper.

What Republican's agenda is, is to stop free energy to the masses but rather drag their feet long enough so the big power companies can switch over and then make even more money for themselves.

They push legislation like they tried to sneak in here in FL to outlaw installing solar systems on your own home. They want to block the end user from being self sufficient because they want their corporate masters like Duke Energy to be able to ass rape you..

They aren't bringing back coal.. They lie to morons who want to believe they will keep their jobs and get other dumb morons to support the idea. Meanwhile the market is quietly moving away because wind & solar is far more profitable than coal for the energy companies.

Around 20 years ago I got into the wind farm business and I have to agree with Trump that environmentally it makes no sense.
The cost and environmental damage that is caused from a turbine that doesn't turn is catastrophic.

Ace : Wind turbines are not perfect. Birds fly into them, they are expensive to build, sure. What you need to understand though is that it is more green than oil is. Wind + Solar + other green energies is what the world needs. But Donald Fuck-head Trump, dismissing wind turbines because the wind doesn't always blow, is just another example of how fucking stupid he is.

If he wants to say they are ugly, that's fine. I disagree as I see them as beautiful alternatives to smoke stacks pumping out black smoke, but that's his opinion.
