Any fans of "The Orville" here?

I am loving this show. It out Star Trek's Star Trek. Good acting good visual fx and some Great Stories!

The show explores some really cool ideas like Cyber Sex Addiction, Sex with robots, beliefs, and does it the same way it was tackled in ST TOS, a TMP look, and modern sensibility. It takes a lot from ST TMP and acknowledges it constantly.

The last episode had the crew discover a smartphone from 2015 with this girls entire life on it. I won't spoil it but it was a better than expected story that had my GF balling by the end credits. Really good.

Anyway if you haven't checked it out yet, its worth watching.

Yeah, love it - Especial S2 Ep2 with the 'Sex Virus' and all the gay aliens trying to 'come on' to the guys trying to fix the virus and offering them pleasure

Started off as an out and out comedy but is getting more serious as the series progresses. Like episodes Identity, Part I & II

I couldn't get passed episode 2. It just seemed to be very very forced humor and situations - like it was trying to be Galaxy Quest but also serious.

How long did it take for you to enjoy it? I'd be thrilled if it turns out to be a great series, but I don't know how many more episodes I can stomach while I wait.

I watched a few of the first episodes and the timing was really off with everything (that's usually due to a bad editor) you can tell the production was all new and kind of learning to get its groove on.

I'll have to check it out again and see the difference. Sounds promising

I didn't care for the first or second episode much either but it grew on me after that.

I saw the first two episodes...I think one of them was about being trapped in a zoo or something. I was lukewarm about it, but I keep reading about how it's evolving into a decent show so I might find time to catch up with it. And while I don't like Family Guy one little bit, I do like Seth McFarlane.

Give it a chance - if I know you like I think I do, I think you'll like the series. I have to say I'm hooked.

                    Check this out

Marina Sirtis is going to be on an upcoming episode (April 17th I think), directed by Jonathan Frakes. Some of the other recent guest stars have been : Rob Lowe, Charlize Theron, Jason Alexander, Robert Picardo.
