Chaturbate: when are you going to crack down on Snap/WhatsApp?

You and your affiliates are losing money from this trend and it's entirely preventable and unacceptable.

When will you crack down on models siphoning traffic, and revenue, to their personal Snap, WhatsApp and whatever accounts? Why is this allowed? The amount of lost revenue is probably substantial and I'd imagine quite a few whales are lured to these services.

What gives? What's the time frame for addressing this. It's not complicated. I don't like visiting a profile only to see links (popover and otherwise) to social media. You guys do realize Snapchat Premium exists, right?

Maybe the battle for models is harder than that for affiliates? But yeah, should be possible to block it fairly simply

the bigger problem with chat/mfc is that every single show is automatically screen captured and uploaded to sites...I am guessing that some models do it to avoid being recorder by the bots...but also the money...

Chaturbate is an indispensable and dominant platform at this point. There's really no excuse and it's costing all parties involved money except the performers. This includes customers too, some of whom I'm sure are ripped off on Snap/wherever.

I guess, but that's going to happen on any medium. One thing Chaturbate should consider is emphasizing/incentivizing private sessions over group stuff. People are less likely to capture and share a session when they've paid for the entire thing and paid for it alone.

yes but it happens much more on a token platform vs a private show based platform...each and every model is recorded from the time she logs in to the time she logs out...these sites that offer the recordings even have for example streamate non nude free chat recorded...very few models have pro porn star aspirations and they go ape shit when somebody records them and posts it everywhere...

I get it, but that doesn't mean Chaturbate should screw their affiliates. I'm not sending my traffic to Chaturbate only for performers to redirect it to private profiles, thus cutting me out of the equation. Whether it makes sense for a performer to promote her own services is a separate question. They'd still use Chaturbate because that's where the action is.

The idea is to not have my traffic wasted on profiles that push members, especially whales, to Snapchat. These guys love the feeling of "helping" models and they're easy to manipulate into spending money on PayPal or somewhere else. I care about my bottom line, not whether shows are sometimes captured.

You're not getting screwed.

A model who works 8 hours naked and makes $200 is the one getting screwed. Threatening to take away their ability to communicate on other platforms so you can make an extra $20 a month is stupid and will make the models go to a different cam platform that doesn't try to stifle their freedom of speech and ability to promote themselves.

Pornhub let's chat models link to their sites, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. so if Chaturbate starts stifling their freedom of speech too much they'll just go to porn hub and you'll make next to nothing with porn hub as a live chat affiliate.

The days of draconian control over talent are over. It's the social media age now and nobody relies on one single platform as a means to make profit.

No matter how you try to prevent it once a sharp models figure out a cam platform understands how valuable the traffic is coming to her they will circumvent their paying customers from the site.They feel they are giving away too much for free already or too much of a cut to the platform for their hard work. I could tell from watching a models weekly pay and whales spending habits if they where side stepping our site.

I agree 100% and I bought it up to their attention VERY early in the game.
Nothing was done, if anything, it got worse.
I just moved on to other programs, I still keep an eyes on the CB platform, hoping that one day, they'll clean things up.

What other program are you promoting? honestly curious, Chaturbate still converts well for me BUT if there are better options I will be happy to hear.... I have several clients and affiliates that will be interested too.

I am giving you fist hand info as a studio boss who has models...my models will not do anything on MFC/CB in free chat and the only reason they split cam this site is because you can take customers to your own site...

I understand your affiliate point of view, I really do, but CB/MFC are beggar fests and whales are far and few between...CB and MFC basically got popular with the free shows and free shows mean free recordings...this in turn means you will have to kiss models ass in order for them to show up and perform for FREE in front of THOUSANDS of beggars...

"never pay for cams again" was the motto...well now they need to offer models something other than a few tokens here and there...its just the way it is...

Ehhh it's Freemium, free chat is not really the right definition. if 'your' models are on there to tap traffic and sent to another site then you are part of the problem. Good luck with that. a Good studio will manage her models to actually change strategy and in my case, I was able to get 50.000/55.000 Tokens on an 8-hour shift. And that is more than on a premium site with true privates.

kudos to you if you can make CB work for you but the moment one of my models appears on tubes is the moment they do not work any more...and they will get recorded on CB/MFC 100% there is no doubt about it...CB for me is like building a sand castle close to the waves...

I see no reason to be loyal to CB/MFC who are basically the tubes of cam sites..."never pay for cams again" and out of the 100-s of models I put on CB/MFC over the years, each one of them made more money on private based sites...

honestly, CB/MFC suck so bad that they are sometimes now worth splitcamming...I take my hat off to you if you can make it work, I can not...much much more money to be made with PVT sites for me...

It is correct. Streamate is another example. Basically, these are sites that are geared toward private shows hence private sites.

For OP. There are two types of members in regards to snapchat/whatsapp though. Somebody is either going to tip once for a lifetime snapchat and maybe never return, or he/she gets a bit obsessed. Many girls also charge monthly rates for "premium" snapchat or whatever. So if the referrals are adding tokens every month to keep their premium status then you might not be missing out as much as you think.

It's hard to say. I'm not an expert by any means.

Its not the same for PVT based sites...we are talking about CB and MFC where all the show is visible to non paying members and this leaves the gates wide open for automated recording of shows...this is the reason some models prefer to take customers to snapchat...
Their chances of being recorded go down from 100% to an acceptable level...

I briefly offered Skype a couple years ago and omg it was the dumbest thing I ever did. My personal opinion is it’s about time these free app programs ie Skype starts cracking down on their rules of not allowing it to be used for porn shit. PayPal managed to somewhat control theirs. But these skypetard sites like CMD and skyprivate are basing their entire business model on an app that specifically doesn’t allow porn and redirect traffic from the big cam sites.
