I used the Paxum cc a long time ago. I'm just wondering the reliability of it these days. Have they been holding everyone's money, jacking pay? I know there has been issues in the past. Any updates?

Paxum pretends to be a Canadian company with it's HQ in Canada.
The reality is the Canadian company is a front for an operation in Europe somewhere.
It's Canadian Headquarters are a post office box (colloquially called a suite) at a UPS store.
They request a huge amount of personal information and high resolution scans of identity documents and you have no idea how they will be used, or if they will be misused in the future. There is no information about where all this identity information is held or who has access to it.
Paxum's representatives, especially Ruth, obfuscate and refuse to answer direct questions. She only tells you what she's been told to say.
Promised cards come late or not at all, fees are excessive, support is almost non existent unless you're happy speaking to a dimwit with a thick Romanian accent.
If you use Paxum there's a chance you will be burned, lied to or worse. My advice is don't.

While above poster is right, nothing should stop you to use them for amounts like under $1k or under $500 or in between. They are good for that. For rest use wire as usual.
For example while other people complain I just use them for withdraw money directly to debit card, they had issues with that in past, but for now it works cheap and immediate.Comment

Bank informed me that Paxum is on the list of companies where place of resident is not on the same address where they are. So they can not receive direct money from them...Anyway i am waiting card almost 1 year. I paid a lot to transfer money from account to Visa card. Now they blocked and Visa card...No ending story with Paxum..Comment

I've been using eft and wires without issues in Canada.
I didn't even bother with a card.
