These guys get status among peers by either being a victim or by pretending to be outraged about a "victim" whether true or not.

Status among peers used to be based on achievement and accomplishments.

Today, in the Left, it's about who can cry the loudest and point their finger the hardest and you can't scream and cry and pretend to care and pretend to be outraged if you don't have victims.... so they manufacture those along the way as well.
