There were so many candidates they had to split the debates into groups, Trump and Rubio were bragging about the size of their cocks, Ben Carson looked like he was ready to fall asleep at any moment, then when they did finally pick Trump all the controversy surrounding him happened and yet he still won. I disagree. I think Democrats will go at each other, but I don't think it will matter much in the general election. Hillary was an historically disliked candidate who angered half her base by doing shady things to Sanders and was under active FBI investigation, not to mention she has all the baggage the Clinton name brings with it and Trump still barely beat her.
No matter what comes of the Mueller investigation, I think Trump will have a very hard time getting reelected. He has done nothing to expand his base and everything to enrage his opponents.Comment

The left will do for Trump what it did for President Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and what it is currently doing for Prime Minister Theresa May (who is surviving because the alternative is so terrible). A few more proposals for 70 percent tax rates, sanctuary states, tax paid health care for everyone including illegal immigrants, open borders, anti-Semitism, and anti-Israeli hostility, and the Democrats will begin driving away everyone but the hard left.Comment

Absolutely. It came down to Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. It was expected that Hillary would win these states. Had she, she would have won. As we all know, she didn't and lost. In an election where around 140 million votes were cast it came down to a combined difference of about 40,000 votes spread out over these three states that ended up being the difference. I would say that qualifies as barely.Comment

And we can argue about how much Clinton was disliked - but everyone knew that if she runs, they would tear her apart on emails, Benghazi, her husband etc - no matter how much truth there is to it (which nowadays nobody seems to care about anyways).

Exactly. To me is shows the weakness of Trump as a candidate. The Democrats pretty much did everything wrong and still damn near won, and got a more actual votes. If they get their shit together and pick a good candidate, it is going to be hard for Trump to beat them. I am of the opinion that the Mueller report will be very bad for Trump and/or his family. The Dems will scream for impeachment, the Repubs will not want to impeach but will be under serious pressure, so in the end they will cut a deal with Trump and he will either step down or announce he is not running for reelection in order to avoid legal issues.Comment
