Unless you're personally overseeing every aspect of the distribution of charity funds, too many of these "charities" these days soak up a disproportionate percent with "admin" expenses.

I can't blame people who are disenfranchised with most (not all, but most) charities these days. Sadly its become a lucrative endeavour to run a charity.

If super-rich people were forced to give more then rich people would stop trying to bring that next big thing cause that might put him in that super-rich area.

I think its up to each person. I rarely give to any charity. I give $10.00 to Omaze once in a while. In the winter I'll buy a meal at McDonalds and give it to a homeless person. Just recently I donated to a homeless shelter, but honestly this is the first time in years that I've ever donated anything. Not everyone is the giving type.

I do a lot of charity work after hours. Could you just imagine what one billion dollars would do for the homeless in San Francisco? Do you know how many lives you could change? My god....
