What is the point of a bendable phone?

What is the point of a bendable phone? Am I missing something? Other than a bigger screen I am not seeing any advantage here.

And how many times can you bend it before it breaks?

Point is mostly for easier storage and resistance against breaking. Bendable screen was one of scfi dreams done in various movies/series.

The main problem with it is that I still have no idea why I would need one...

I remember years ago going to CNN in Atlanta and they had these round TVs... You could walk around in a circle... Just didn't see the point in them.

Bendable phones are pointless by themselves. I think what its meant for is to show off the technology and inspire other users such as screens woven into clothing, or that can be applied to any curved surface.

All they have to do is interlace all those pixels with camera sensors, wrap a plane in it, and now you've got a truly invisible flying machine.

It is easier to stuff up your ass and smuggle into prison.

Speaking from personal experience that is...
