Don't give a shit what anyone says,

Louis is funny as fuck (even when his opinions don't align with my own, he's still funny as fuck and a true genius).

Comedy is one of the last bastions of free speech.. Really hope he weathers the outrage. (In a world, where words and "wrong think" prompt every aspect of your life, including your family to be attacked).

He should just be as offensive as humanly possible as a troll. It would be the opposite of what everyone expects. And he would have an audience. One of the world's greatest comedians shouldn't be sitting around in social exile. He should be on stage doing his thing.

This I agree , he was never mild. Also he asked permission to jack off in front of them. He had no power of careers he wasnt a kingmaker. They just lumped him in.

I feel it's stupid to attack comedians.

The right relentlessly attacked Whoopi Goldberg when she was in an interactive relationship and almost ended her carrier.

Remember when the right attacked comedian Kathhy Griffin? Her Trump head joke was a flop and Republicans wanted her dead.

Thing is, you can't selectively defend C.K. Louis and condemn Whoopi or Griffin.

Comedians are supposed to be edgy, sometimes they fail. Comedians are supposed to be flawed people, not perfect role models.

From what I know of Louis, he asked permission before anything sexual. Sarah Silverman watched him jack off. She defended him. The right is latching on to Louis as a martyr for male sexual dominance. Lame. Al Franken anyone?

The right wasn't there for him. The right has a very specific agenda and it's not to unilaterally support commedians, performers, etc. on a solid moral or ethical stance, it's to support only those who fit their agenda and fuck the rest to hell. Hypothetical question:

You are a new, up and coming stand up comic and you get a big break to perform at a comedy festival. After your set one of the biggest, most popular stand up comics in the world invites you to their place a little later. You go, assuming they are having a party or get together of some kind. You arrive and find our you are the only one there. The comic then asks if you mind if they jerk off. You say you don't mind if for no other reason than you think they might be joking. But they aren't and they start jerking off in front of you. Would the thought cross your mind that if you get up and leave, this person might be vindictive and try to damage your career simply because you don't want to watch them jerk off?
