We would be better off spending the money doing other things that make coming here less attractive for illegals while helping to make the places they are coming from better places to live. |
Mitch McConnell did not have the bill up for a vote in the senate as far as I know.
So, it's not like the senate dem's had a chance to vote against it. Generally, USCIS may grant H-2A classification for up to the period of time authorized on the temporary labor certification. H-2A classification may be extended for qualifying employment in increments of up to 1 year each. A new, valid temporary labor certification covering the requested time must accompany each extension request. The maximum period of stay in H-2A classification is 3 years. Do h2a workers pay taxes? No. As an H2A worker, you are exempt from the requirement to pay these taxes. But, because the majority of workers in the U.S. have to pay them, it is possible that you may receive a letter from the IRS requesting payment of Social Security taxes. How much does a US work permit cost? Employment Based Immigration Applications cost 345.00 USD in addition to the petition. Other immigration applications (such as self-petitioning) cost 205.00 USD. K visa for a fiancé or spouse of a U.S citizen costs 265.00 USD. Certain Afghan or Iraqi special immigrant applications have no fee. How do you know if they ever go home ? |

But Trump wants a big wall with his name on it that only 35% of voters support. |
It has been my point that most come here legally, they just don't go home.
THE WALL IS SYMBOLIC. |
Quote:
It's primitive. Not surprised the group of people who barely evolved past barbarism thinks it's such a great idea. |

But that would mean a rise in wages and then a rise in prices as companies are forced to pay more. And people prefer their cheap stuff to giving fellow citizens jobs. |

Walls don't work. That's why there are no walls in the world. No one has ever used a wall anywhere, ever... to protect anything effectively.

All at the same time some are in jail for smoking weed. Better to pay more for food than to spend in tax for welfare. Especially since those working those fields are not paying taxes. Many have family's here and you have child labor inside of this. Someone should be glad I'm not in charge. I like the idea of revoking corporate charters. They are only granted in concept of benefit to public at large. It's time that meant something again. They have turned into a 'get out of jail - FREE' card. Don't anyone get me wrong. I have nothing against a migrant at all. But don't let the politicians blow smoke up you butt as to the cause and effect and who is making money from this and getting the political advantage while they are the cause. If those AG co's want to hire them, they should pay minimum wage and withhold taxes like everyone else. The republicans never have had any intentions of blocking them from coming here. And giving them work permits and 1099-s status makes it legal. The can walk right past the wall that you think you are paying for to stop it. They don't go home once here and next year, their relatives come. I can't blame them for coming. It's a attractive gig. Gets them away from the drug gangs a fairly poor economy where they can't feel safe. The republicans created this system, and it's time they own up to it instead of telling everyone they are the ones to stop it. They have owned the conversation and use that to stop any changes. They have used the idea of granting amnesty to those that are here is wrong, so they can stay here in illegal status where they work for sub-standard wages. And we the public loose the wage competition as well as the tax revenue. It's not that hard to get what is fair, but you have to at least be asking for it ! |
