This is not good news - If they find a cure for the shit, it might only work on SOME of the cases. I dont give a shit about North Korea having nukes, or sadam, bin-laden, drugs or guns - but THIS shit scare the living shit out of me.

HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- Mutations of the SARS virus and relapses among patients are puzzling scientists trying to understand the disease, amid a five-fold increase in the number of deaths in the past month.

Doctors at the Chinese University of Hong Kong said there were two forms of SARS present in the hard-hit Chinese territory, which could complicate efforts to develop a diagnosis and vaccine.

"This rapid evolution is like that of a murderer who is trying to change his fingertips or even his appearance to try and escape detection," Dr Dennis Lo said.

Lo added that more research needed to be done to determine if the virus had become more infectious or deadly.

I think I have found a way to save some life - If we start random killing of people on the street = less people on the street = less carryer of SARS = less dead people.

Its like the "making money cost money" thing

Such is the way of the virus.. they mutate a little bit with every "host" they leave, as they take some of that genetic material with them. Why do you think they haven't found a cure for the common cold? Because it mutates too quickly for them to have an antivirulant that's effective for more than a week at most. Remember, SARS is a coronavirus, they mutate like motherfuckers.
