    UK Age Verification

    So what is the latest on this? I don't live in the UK currently, but thinking of moving back next year and I want to have all my sites verification ready before the new legislation is enforced and sites get blacklisted.

    Is there/will there be a simple WordPress plugin that can meet the requirements, similar to all the GDPR plugins that appeared in time?

    Or do we have to employ an offical faciliator who will charge $499 per site, with $50 going to the UK government and $50 to the rat here who helped draft the new law?

      All shit shit shit and shit. no one knows the date. the latest information is about April. The government in the UK has a more important problem than porn. Even if it will be April 2019 (he talks about Easter 2019.) + time for implementation on websites will be exactly the best in the next year from today. So save this topic for 05.12.2019 and come back in the future.

              The following sets out the type of content that is unacceptable to show before age- verification has taken place on an online commercial pornographic service.

              Before a user has age-verified, the following content, both still images and video, is not permitted:

              - detailed depictions of sexual activity (for example penetration, masturbation, oral sex)
              - full frontal nudity or exposure of the breasts or genitals
              - fetish themes which involve violence or aggression
              - sexual poses that draw attention to breasts, genitals and/or buttocks whether exposed or not, (for example a person bending over and/or spreading their legs)

              Before a user has age-verified, the following is permitted:
              - Non-sexual posing in underwear or swimwear
              - Non-sexual nude posing where breasts, genitals and/or buttocks are hidden by the positioning of the pose or masked by other graphics
              - Images where nudity or sexual activity is fully masked by heavy pixilation or blurring

              The BBFC will take account of these factors when determining whether an online commercial pornographic service is compliant with section 14(1) of the Digital Economy Act 2017.

                              If you're offshore it doesn't matter. Just don't move back and make sure you cross the UK off your destination list.

                                  Where are you, how much do you earn and how long have you been there? I'm approaching my 20th year in Czech so not really worried.
