I don't mind trading links I just don't want to overload my pages with other banners.
Text links would'nt be so bad, but not many offer that.

Submit your pages to bomis.com webrings, they send you lots of free traffic. Also like Rose said, TRADE LINKS! That's the main way to get traffic (in my opinion). Good luck.

You should take a look at the sites that are currently listed in the dmoz you submitted to and see what they are looking for if you want to get listed there...

Also, submit to the other SE's
Excite, AV, Google, etc.

These ones will take upwards of 6 months to get listed. DMOZ is relatively quick.

paparoach - I would suggest starting by getting paid hosting, as there are'nt many site's that will list you being on a free host.

I would check someone out like www.candidhosting.com They offer a small plan that's only like $100.00 and it gives you 40 gig's of transfer, so it breaks down to only $2.50 per gig. And to top it off you can host 5 domains per acount.

Then and if you get some paid hosting - I would recommend build a clean site or two and get them listed on site's like www.persiankitty.com, www.link-o-rama.com and www.tommys-bookmarks. There's a ton more of link sites that are really easy to get listed on that will send you some nice traffic to help you kick thing's off with. Once those site's link you up make some trades with other sites and use the traffic you get from the link lists to feed your new trades.

If you time everything correctly you can easily have a site doing 10k or so uniques per day in no time. And listing with those sites should easily pay for your $100.00 hosting account, as all you need to do is sell three $35.00 membership's monthly to cover your hosting fee's.

There are a bunch of program's out there that pay $35.00 per signup, but in case you dont know who they are you can check out www.adultrevenueservice.com , www.maximumcash.com , www.siccash.com.

yeah, but it would double the price of his hosting, as when I did the calculation for you price per gig it came out to $5.00 per gig.

Please dont get me wrong, as you probably run a great hosting company. But if someone is pondering $100.00 hosting plan - I would assume they would really step back at $250.00 for a 50 gig plan.

I dont work with or for Candid Hosting, but I do feel confident in them and at a price that anyone can afford and if they cant they may be in the wrong business to begin with.

Seriously paparoach, you can get hosting for as low as 10$ per month (to start you off with an ip, pop3, a few gigs and more)
