PBS did a documentary just focusing on facebook, but if you can stand the 2 hour length, it is quite telling of how this came to be.
Folks are made into predictable commodities. I have known it was going on since the beginning but nobody understood the impact of it and would not listen. Admittedly, it is the stuff we make tin foil hats for and seemed like that kind of info 5-10 years ago.
It is simply trial and error to get a desired emotional response from a given input. And then hammering it for a desired purpose. It's no wonder act of violence are up.

Better than 83% accurate in reading your emotional reaction based on slight movments on your face. The only country to be using this tech in actual practice more than in the US is in China. Some VR / AR tech facebook has been working on is going to make very exclusive use of it.

It is the things you are not aware of that will hurt you most.
But most of this would be less do-able without tracking and the buying/selling of that information across platforms that you do not even know it is happening tied together by some seemingly insignificant info.
Facebook may not house all your info but they have alliance with the folks that have the other data freely shared as a partner.

Nobody thinks they can be manipulated. Till you see how it is done. Then they do not wish to believe it affected them. But they do start to look at it differently going forward.

But now we are days away from the midterms. And it will be the party that is most energized on Nov. 6th that will win the elections.

Trump is like a puppeteer pulling the strings and forcing CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post, and the rest of them to dance to his tune.

They have just spent the last 48 hours pushing HIS message to his base.

You and Stefan, in this matter, are too obsessed with hatred for Trump to see the genius in what he does.

First he will get his base re-energized for the election.
Second...IF he actually did try an Executive Order that was unconstitutional (which it would be)...it will be immediately taken to court.
And that will lead to the Supreme Court making a decision saying that his order is unconstitutional...and that giving "birthright citizenship" to illegal aliens is ALSO unconstitutional.
It's a "win/win" for Trump.

And anti-Trump, anti-USA people can only fume and be bitter about it.

The guy is playing the media AND the "left" like a fiddle and you guys are so caught up in hating him that YOU are the ones actually being manipulated. And you couldn't even see it.

Have you watched FOX news lately? I've been watching quite a bit lately. the conspiracies and fear mongering is beyond imaginable. they had a commentator on the NEWS SEGMENT, not an opinion show but the news, state that the caravan is bringing small pox to Americans.

the mistake I made before this really got out of hand is, I did not think anyone/many would believe this kinda stuff. How wrong I was. In the worst way.
But, if you can invoke a strong emotion, you can do a lot with that, including make money.

The guy who made that claim is NOT a "commentator". He was a guest on the Neil Cavuto show which was being hosted by Charles Payne in Cavutos absence.
The guest was David Ward a former ICE agent who has no idea about what diseases that immigrants from 3rd world country's have and was making wild conjecture.

Payne is a Fox Business economic guy. He also has no clue and therefore didn't "challenge" the assertion.

Anyway, that one dumb moment leads you to conclude that Fox News is full of "fear mongering" and "conspiracy theories"?

No. It is full of bullshit to garner ratings. But they also take the time to report the news with an actual newsbreak on the hour and half hour. They also have several actual NEWS shows like Shepard Smith's show and Shannon Bream's news show.

That is something that is totally missed by CNN...which has ZERO news hours now. And they spend 24/7 with the "Russian" conspiracy theory and actual fear mongering about how the President is "dangerous".
They pretty much spend all day, every day doing everything they can to divide the country in hopes of getting Democrats elected.

All the media is shitty. But I do give props to Fox News for actually covering all the news stories of the day every day. CNN does not do that at all anymore.

Their "story mix". Wow. LOL! That's the state of our media these days. Instead of just reporting the freaking news they are all about forming storylines and trying to make money.

he then blames the media for reporting that. he blames the magabomber on that same "fake news" but the fake news is reporting trump's words, actions, and tweets. In other words, trump was an influence. the media didn't make that up. the media didn't make up that trump condones body slamming journalists. they didn't make up that trump claims the media is the enemy. they didn't make up trump exclaiming that the caravan is invading USA.

They call him "Hitler", "racist", and "dangerous" every hour of every day on CNN.
Then they deliberately downplay or don't report at all on the uplifting stories of people's lives changed for the better as the economy grows and grows under Trump's policy's.
And then the last couple of days...CNN had people on saying Trump "desecrated" the situation in Pittsburgh by going there to comfort the people!
And all they showed were videos of protesters and insinuated that Trump is hated by everyone and not wanted.
And of course they DON'T show this kind of video at the hospital in Pittsburgh of REAL people expressing their thankfulness to Pres. Trump:

THEN...when the President RESPONDS to CNN calling him names and being deceptive...he calls them "Fake News" and "The Enemy Of The People"
