    Advertising pay sites on non adult sites

    This is a take off of kush's thread 'Advertising pay sites on "almost" adult sites'.

    What about advertising AP on a site that has NO PICTURES OF BABES AT ALL?

    It almost seems like it would work... i mean, after all, doesn't EVERYONE like porn?!

    Seriously though, anyone currently doing this?

      I've thought about it but you would have to host it on a server that allows adult sites and that would be a major disadvantage.

          I've actually tried it, and unless your site is geared towards sex somehow it won't work for shit. Amazingly enough, people that want mortgages don't seem to like porn...lol...Mabye there were a lot of bible thumpers or the like on my site. Since then I don't force them to look at porn.

          It will probably work on dating sites or other sites with some loose connection to sex though.

          I will let you in on a secret though, I send a lot of my mainstream traffic to a search engine that IF the person searches for porn will get one of my porn sites...

              'back in the day' there use to be lots of warez, mp3, etc. sites that all you saw was porn, porn, porn...

              i'm very interested in finding out how it worked out. mortgages & porn don't mix?! haha... well maybe warez and mp3s do! i can see a college student surfer for some warez and clicking on a babe.

                              Our worst converting affiliates are bikini sites, etc. That's why we stopped allowing it about a year and a half ago.

                                      you don't allow bikini sites? lots of 'bikin' sites have nudity on them now and you allow them (don't you?) so you just don't allow any sites with nothing but bikini content or what?
