anyone that thinks China has already won against the USA is deluding themselves.
https://i.imgur.com/JYsHpI1.png Conclusion: China's births have been collapsing for decades, China's childbearing population is collapsing, China's working age population is now falling, and so it follows that China's domestic markets have begun shrinking and this shrinkage will only continue to accelerate indefinitely. Add to this, the export markets for 90%+ of their exports are hardly growing, and in about a decade, all but Africa and India's under 65-year-old populations will likewise be shrinking. https://seekingalpha.com/article/415...class-set-bust |

https://seekingalpha.com/article/413...tion-declining Chinas still the biggest, India and Indonesia right behind them, but it doesn't matter who's side you want to fall on, those three will be the biggest economy's in the world.. it can't be stopped, slowed maybe but not stopped. America isolating themselves, speeds the process up all you get is a very short term gain. |
1. Uncertainty haunts China’s middle class
Beijing may have to think again about domestic consumption being the main economic driver as rising debt levels take their toll on willingness to spend https://www.scmp.com/comment/insight...s-middle-class 2. China's Middle Class don’t receive benefits for healthcare, education, or retirement from the state. And it doesn’t vote. Therefore, it’s increasingly taxed indirectly via an expensive healthcare system, education, and the fact that there are almost no retirement benefits. http://www.atimes.com/article/chinas...owing-dilemma/ 1 + 2 = 3. India overtakes China as the most promising market for retail expansion China fell out of the No. 1 spot in a ranking of the most promising markets for retail expansion. India took the top spot, helped by its expanding economy, booming consumption rates, urbanizing population and growing middle class. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/05/indi...expansion.html |
the fact is that china's business model can and is being knocked off and it's very easy to do- cheap labor. china doesn't have a monopoly on cheap labor and many other countries are encroaching on it. The race for cheaper manufacturing is on and millions of jobs have already been relocated AWAY from China and established in cheaper labor areas like Africa and beyond. Robotization will also seriously harm China's business model.
it's glib to assume USA has already lost to China and only an anti-American would try and make such an exclamation. |

"Bad debts in China are increasing significantly faster than what the Chinese central bank reports, according to a prominent Chinese banking analyst.
A report in the Financial Times said that analyst Charlene Chu believes that China's accumulation of bad debts is $US6.8 trillion higher than the official government figures. That's more than five times higher than the value of loans which are officially reported as either non-performing or one level above non-performing. If total non-performing loans really are $US7.6 trillion, it would imply a bad debt ratio of 34%. Chinese government statistics at the end of June reported a bad debt ratio of 5.3%." |

https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnbri.../#66eed1f54054 In summary, USMCA can be seen, on balance, as an improvement over NAFTA, but not much of one. It will have no measurable effect on economic growth, job growth or wage growth in the United States. |
Exactly. I never claimed there were massive changes, but ca certainly lost.
Cute colors too. |
