    Do you clean the lint filter AFTER you dry your laundry?

    I always thought this was common practice/decency!

      yes after every load..

            You should take your dryer apart once a year and vacuum out all the lint inside it, that's the real fire hazard. Your clothes will dry faster too.

              I don't after every load because very little lint means it peels back on itself and into the housing, then gets shoved into the system when returning the catch. But I do after every 2 or 3.

                              oddly driers aren't really used in the country i am in currently - kinda funny cost savings / environmental savings on a national level, but obviously not viewed as such
