Except that it has unprocessed sugars so your body has to burn calories to use it and it has fiber so you get full.

just to put things in perspective, phelps with his weight would burn 20 calories per minute if he sprinted or ran as fast as he possibly can...this is 1200 cal per hour...forget about the 1000 cal per hour for 6 hours...just forget about it

you absorb only a portion of the nutrients in your food...google it...
Youre telling me things I already know man. Youre no expert. Ive been doing this for close to 15 years now...this is pretty common knowledge. There are so many different factors involved in there neither you or myself could come to any conclusion about someone elses diet, training, etc. I know what works for me and I proved that I can be single digit BF while not looking like a carb depleted, flat, emaciated human and still eating carbs.sugar! Whahooo!!!

Perhaps you should consider eatting some carbs and you wont be a super skinny "extreme ecto" as you call it. Still waiting for proof of that and your super lean-ness. Youre prob skinny fat with 0 muscle.

fruit is bad for you btw...
Dear fruit is bad for you dingdong, Phelps diet doesn't consist of fucking donuts and candy bars. Obviously, the fucking point was how difficult it would be to consume 10k healthy cals daily.

Fruit is bad for you. Ahahaha.

                    awkward...

                    oh and 1000cal per hour?

thats swimming the breast stroke for 60min non stop...so in phelpses case he would have to swim the breast stroke for 6 hours daily, every day, to burn 6000cal

                    yeah...that did not happen LOL...

so again...I am right and the "experts" are wrong...especially dynamo...he has a "I like to be wrong" fetish
Do you know all of this stuff because you put it into practice, or do you just read a bunch of stuff? Some of us here (including me) are in good shape and got that way by experimenting and finding what works and then living the lifestyle which incorporates the good habits which keep us fit. Also, you need to keep in mind that any science related to metabolism or levels of adipose is all relative to everyone's individual system. It's not one size fits all.

What kind of body do you have?

this thread cracks me up. y'all are champions at turning anything into a fight

                          people are different

some naturally carry more body fat than others, some don't do well with certain foods, some have hunger/appetites/feelings of satiety based on food volume that differ from others

some are ecto, some are endo, some are meso

some are more capable of eating during different times in life (some depressed peeps eat for comfort, some depressed peeps can't eat at all)

yet we should act exactly the same? insanity (which btw is a wicked workout program)

I think we should all just become breathanarians, problem solved!

there is nothing I can do to gain fat so I have never been in a position to put anything related to fat loss in to practice...I am 46 years old and 210 and probably 10%...so I can easily claim "carbs are great I can eat pizza and icecream all day" but it would not be backed up by actual science...I am that way because I have a high metabolism and most of my life has been spent in semi-pro level training...

naturally lean people saying "Carbs are OK" is bullshit...carbs are OK for exactly the amount of people you see on the streets with little to no fat...for the rest of the population, the proof is in the pudding...the truth is, carbs work well for very few people...

a low insulin lifestyle is the quickest and easiest way to fat loss...being that only insulin is responsible for storing fat...it is so simple that I do not believe there are actually counter arguments

well you can either explain why fructose is good and what is wrong with getting your nutrients from richer and healthier sources like select veggies that have less fructose, or you gargle balls 24/7 as usual...
