I'm missing the thick bread from 20 years ago and that V cut they did on top of it.
They stopped because fat people got this stupid idea that carbs is what made them fat. So the bread got thinner, making the V cut impossible.

They are going through an identity crisis. This is a bad sign for them.
Earlier this week I saw they were pitching some Twitter campaign with the hashtag: #SubTheBurger
Instead of showcasing their product, they chose to bash an American favorite, the hamburger. Not a positive way of marketing and another sign of desperation.

I had Subway on Saturday. Roast beef on flatbread, six inch. Woman next table over had a twelve inch fried chicken sub, loaded. Probably a size four if that much yet she ate like a bodybuilder. Chips, two cookies and large Coke and that huge sub. Double cheese and double mayonnaise, too. Fried chicken looked good but had skin and seemed lumpy, like it wasn’t pounded flat. I’d be afraid to eat it.
I tried their whole wheat subs but too much bread. Flatbread is really good but I don’t think they make it. Wraps are popular but I prefer d’Angelo’s wraps. Plus they’re huge at Subway, twelve inch wraps.
Sign said “footlong subs $6” with a list of choices, mostly cheap deli meat. They have pizza now, $6 I think for a small round plain. The crust looked thick and I only do thin. Drink was 99 cents/large with pizza.
I go every month when I go to Walmart. I go along for food shopping so my needs aren’t forgotten.*****************************************
