    Google Traffic suddenly drops 75%

    Hi! I run peggingtoys.com. Not sure what happened, but around August 1st of this year, our traffic dropped about 75%. Our rankings when from around 8-9 on average to 12-13, putting us on page 2.


    Any suggestions/tips on where I should look the decipher what has happened?

          To be ranked on Google then you need

          1. quality updated content
          2. on page SEO
          3. competitive keywords
          4. check webmaster tools and review all reports related to sitemaps, indexing, errors,... if any issue there then Google can stop sending traffic or limit it
          4. quality backlinks ((( this is an added advantage ))

              They change the rules about 2x per year, so one ever knows ....but for us, using the same keywords, our rank has not changed.
