I read that a couple days ago. Broke my heart he died at the hands of cops after successfully protecting his son. Law enforcement in America needs to be thoroughly rebuilt from the ground up.

A ton of great cops out there but there's a systemic failure in the number of unnecessary, easily preventable, deaths.

Easily preventable by disarming himself before the cops came or when they asked him several times to drop the gun.

The Vietnam veteran had a “significant hearing impairment” that may have made it hard for him to hear the orders.

he just saved his 11 year old son from a naked Maniac in the middle of the night that came in trying to drowned him and strangle him and it likely was the first human being he's ever killed he was still probably going through major trauma of the ordeal when the cops arrived letting go of the gun was the last thing on his mind aside from processing his son almost dying and killing another man.

But go ahead

Blame the victim

often times when someone is killed police reports are not always accurate and police cameras give a more clear presentation of what happened. it's entirely possible he did not have the gun in his hand when he was killed.
