You know, I don't mind these kind of spams. It helps make my blacklist longer of who not to work with...

Yeah I got the same email as well, and I never signed up with LS...

Me and Scooby Doo have solved this mystery.... with the help of a scoobysnack or two...

One time last year we accidentally sent out an affiliate newsletter with all our affiliates listed in the cc: box instead of the bcc: box.

So about 2000 of our affiliates got that address, looks like one of them finally used it.

(...and he would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling kids!)

kmanrox 05-01-2003 10:22 PM

damn, i knew i should have signed up sooner! ;-)

mike503 05-01-2003 10:23 PM

thanks for owning up to it LSC... bad error, heh. maybe i can login and change my email alias to something else and shut off that email alias now.

fuck everyone for giving me shit like i'm some sort of liar. :321GFY

As I recall Vivid did this by accident sometime last year as well. Maybe this is how the whole swoit fiasco began as well.

None of my e-mails are spam virgins, they all get raped. No matter how hard I try.

NO I don't want your fucking grand prize
NO I don't want to join your program
NO I don't need a morgage loan
NO I don't need debt consilation
NO I don't want to see your fucking webcam
NO I don't want to buy pay perclick listings
Just STOP spamming my fucking emails!

Stop yer fuckin whining... Lightspeed is standup people.

There are a number of possibilities for getting your e-mail including your host.

NBDesign 05-01-2003 10:53 PM

I hear they had to send that spam because they are hurting for $$$.... Too many parties and gatherings. :Graucho :1orglaugh

HardProfits 05-01-2003 11:00 PM

Zebra 05-01-2003 11:25 PM

Unfortunately, the spammers have the upper hand.

The programs either don't filter out what you want or they filter out too much. Sad to say I'd rather sort through 200 unwanted emails a day than have something important filtered by accident.

Whatever is done to stop it will be circumvented.. just as software developers try to make their programs secure and resistant to piracy, "hackers & crackers" seemingly always find a way around it.

NBDesign 05-01-2003 11:33 PM

SPAM SUCKS! All spammers should be lined up and shot.

adamneve 05-01-2003 11:43 PM

i also got that

Backov 05-01-2003 11:44 PM

It's lightspeeds mailing addresses.

I got it to two of my LS spamtrap addresses (two accounts, for two different bizes).

NBDesign 05-01-2003 11:50 PM

Bla bla bla.... We all know it was not them.... Get over it!

xxxdesign-net 05-01-2003 11:57 PM

Thats your spammer...

I am just pissed because I DID NOT get the spam! Shit, for all of the worthless spam I get, you'd think I might get a good one now and then? No, I just get the bad ones!

So Steve, I can I spam that list now?
