20 WERE shot and killed in the USA on the exact same day.. and no one even cares, there won't be a news out cry anywhere and there certainly won't be a post on a pornographers forum somewhere.
^ isn't the population of the us many times more of Canada? Something around 9-10x? More people, more chance of something happening?
It's still happening in Canada with gun control. Just 50% less according to what I just said in the above paragraph and according to the 20 were shot (different incidents?) on the same day comment.
So control kinda helps but I wouldn't say it would stop a motivated individual.

Sad.. but facts..
Holy shit... crazy stuff. And that's for a single day.

it also takes weeks/months to obtain a fire arm license here. So some 'motivated individual' would have to pass a course, when one opens, then pass the test (which is expensive). Once this 'motivated' individual passes all that and buys a rifle (hand guns are more tests) they will have to travel around with it separated from amo, locked in a trunk or risk jail time.
Then after all that? they can decide to be crazy and shoot their single shooting rifle all they want. But after all that it seems like a bit of a waist for 99.9% of the entire population. So the rest is stolen rifles and extremely modest gang violence.
Glen I'm totally on team gun control, and I'm from Canada. But what's to stop someone with a few thousand from buying one illegally? Just for the sake of argument.
Would definitely take too long to do it the proper way.
Anyways again, not against control but I'm saying if someone really wanted to they could.

Well I guess that rules out the whole "he wasn't a muslim terrorist but a mentally disturbed individual" bullshit.
Hussain apparently had been spoken-to by authorities about his online activities. Sources say Toronto Police, the OPP and the RCMP have all had an interest in the now-deceased alleged shooter.
What law enforcement is saying is that the attack was planned, and Hussain was “well known to Toronto Police” for investigations into past crimes “involving weapons and violence.”
