Reset your phone so you have root access and then you can install only apps that you want. I have a S9 and a Huawei Mate 10 pro. Both rooted..working like a charm

I might give that a try. I've never rooted a phone because I've heard it's easy to brick them.

Lookup on youtube or google for samsung related forums. the thing goes pretty forward

Install BK2 app (disables bloatware)
Install android apps that you want to use (like Truecaller etc)
No one is forcing you to use Samsung apps.

Altho i love Samsung internet browser + adblock plugin for it. Far superior to Chrome, Firefox, etc.

I suspect it does as I happened to have the screen open as I was taking it to the charger and I saw steps increase in real time.

Worse than the Apps are the Android/Samsung updates that changes all the graphics on my phone! One day an icon is blue, then green, then...fucking choose a theme and stick to it! Ugh.

It happens like once per year. The last android update is pretty nice.
