As far as these chinese made goods.. I use to actually sell chinese atvs locally and on ebay. Most of them were stolen designs. The one's I sold most were a stolen design of the Raptor.. The food is coming to the US.. meaning you will pay more for it.. on top of this with food that is exported farmers here will sell less of it as other options from other countries will be cheaper. This will also drive up your prices because they will have to charge more here to cover their loss elsewhere.. This discussion is about China.. If you want to discuss Canada and Mexico we can.. I know that very well.. I turn down business in both countries because of tariffs. More so MX than CA though.. It's also nearly impossible for me to get paid out of MX so I don't even bother. If someone from MX wants to buy from me they have to do it via someone in the US and deal with all that shit on their own. It's very much a reality that if someone in Mexico wants to buy from me their funds have to be approved by the government before being sent into the US supposedly because of drugs.. When it's the exact opposite.. Drugs move out, money flows back in... It's a reality that person in Mexico pays a higher price for my goods due to their tariff. Our stores are right next door to each other.. It costs me 40% more to make my product than it does to have yours made, shipped into the US and delivered to your store..

If German car manufacturers will have to decide whether they rather sell to the US or to China and the rest of the world, that decision will not even take 5 minutes.
BMW Spartanburg exports 30% of their production to China - if they need to, they will move this out of the country. Currently they employ 8800 people in an area where there's not much else around.
And they will not be the only one, there is not one single car produced in the US that is made from 100% american parts.
So good luck with that.
BTW - why it is never mentioned that the US has a 25% tariff specifically for light trucks like the F150 etc? Don't want any competition here?
