General Motors sends warning to Trump

GM warns tariff could force job cuts, raise cost of cars

Quote:
General Motors is warning the Trump administration that a proposed tariff could force the company to cut jobs and raise the price of cars, perhaps by thousands of dollars.
The warning came in a filing Friday with the Commerce Department.

The administration is considering a tariff on imported cars and car parts. GM (GM) imports parts for cars that it makes in the United States. It also imports some cars to sell in the United States.

"Increased import tariffs could lead to a smaller GM, a reduced presence at home and abroad for this iconic American company, and risk less — not more — U.S. jobs," GM said in the filing.

We know you drive a Lada
Chumpanzees have a problem with companies that dare to speak out about how their cult leader's actions has a negative effect on them

that´s exactly what i wrote from the first moment on when he just talked about tariffs.
this clown don´t understand the interrelation of a global economy.
he is an old fart and his business knowledge is limited on "how to prevent paying bills".

what you see by now is maybe 0,5% of the total effect.
sunday Canada starts with striking back on tariffs. this will be a dark week for the US economy and more dark weeks will follow.

I KNOW you do, thats the recurring theme with you... You never stop letting everyone know that you're always the one who "cares more". You never stop letting others know that you're always on the high moral ground.

"********** really cares... deeply cares and thats why ********** is a better human being". In any debate you start and any mud you sling and when you're insulting a nation, its citizens and their families and friends and their beliefs or politics, you do everything possible to virtue signal your way in the end to making people believe you "care". Quite the logical contradiction for a "science nerd".

Btw... outrage below?

Does the image below bother you as much as the fake "kids in cages" fake news?

No?

Didn't think so?

On to the next manufactured and fake problem in another country which is none of your business, for you!

"caring about kids is soooooo last week, right?".

Now your concerned motorcycles made by a dying company and a car company that's been mismanaged and sucked for decades. Because.... "trump".

But kids? You don't care when you can't jump on a bandwagon to virtue signal your way through the day.

When you can no longer say "because... Trumo" on a given issue... you seem to stop "caring" pretty quickly like all those who claim to be so "outraged".

Phoney dipshit.

Trump supporters will blame Hillary, Obama & the deep state for Trumps decision to create a worldwide trade war with our allies.

Their go to when Trump fails is "he was shaking things up" "at least he tried to fuck things up"

1) creating a scapegoat for weak, poorly ran companies.

Funny how ALL CAR COMPANIES from Hyundai to Kia to Toyota to Ford which manufactured in the USA aren't so dire in their predictions and in their forecasts.

in 2008, GM was first in line after financial institutions to have their hand out for a few billion. They even flew into washington on G5's to explain how they aren't responsible for their own fiscal problems.

2) rebalancing our trade agreements and zeroing out our deficits will come at a cost. Just like almost a Trillion dollars a year going out the door comes at a great cost. Just like chinas theft of IP alone comes at a cost.

This is the very point of doing this. It is COSTING US RIGHT NOW. you guys seem to ignore that fact.

Funny how its all so simple, yet you guys have no ideas, no plans, no solutions...as usual.

Of course you guys have no plan, you have no solutions, Democrats as well have nothing but complaints and whining... so we'll never know how it could have been done better. Thats not Trumps fault. Thats Democrats fault for not being part of the solution... ever. "Resist" doesn't help anything. "Resist" isn't a "better idea". "Resist" doesn't being everyone to the table.. It jsut makes you look like petulant children... and Democrats prove time and time again that they're rather see the entire nation do down in flames if it can hurt Trump. Not a great plan either.

.... Do i have a better plan? No. Not really. Someone has to step in, be strong, negotiate well and put an end to this retarded fucking problem that has existed for our entire lives.

.... Do you have a better plan? Do Democrats? no.
Thats why Democrats are losing steam going into the mid terms.... when it should be a slam dunk.
