    North Korea Today

Yes, we know President Trump has done nothing, he makes no deals, there will be no denuke, there is no plan and blah blah whatever...

    However...

    https://nypost.com/2018/06/23/north-...us-propaganda/

"Nix the nuclear warheads, cue the doves.

The North Korean government is erasing much of its anti-U.S. propaganda following dictator Kim Jong-un’s forays onto the world stage.

Gone are the posters depicting the U.S. as a “rotten, diseased, pirate nation” and promising “merciless revenge” on American forces for an imagined attack on the totalitarian country.

In their place are cheery messages touting praising the prospects for Korean reunification and the declaration Kim signed in April with South Korean President Moon Jae-in promising “lasting peace,” according to reports.

Still the most isolated country in the world, very few North Koreans have access to news and information from the outside world. So state propaganda plays a huge role in shaping their views.

Murals, banners and posters displayed throughout the capital, Pyongyang, have for decades depicted the U.S. as a brutal, imperialist aggressor hell-bent on destroying the North Korean regime. South Korea and Japan were also frequently targeted as willing allies of the U.S.

But things started to take an Orwellian turn in the run-up to Kim’s June 12 summit with President Donald Trump, with the old posters vanishing since then.

“All the anti-American posters I usually see around Kim Il-sung Square and at shops, they’ve all just gone,” Rowan Beard, a tour manager at Young Pioneer Tours, told Reuters. “In five years working in North Korea, I’ve never seen them completely disappear before.”

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can we just be happy that we're here? You can still hate Trump, it's cool - but let's be a little happy this week that the world is getting closer to peace. Closer is good.

    Iran is next.

Sadly, no one but me cares about NK nuclear weapons anymore Jim. sanders getting kicked out of a restaurant and a few illegals are far more important now.

My Nk update thread from this weekend dropped off the front page after 1 poster replied in it.

      I care!

Served during the cold war and don;t want to go back to that. Notice the democrats are trying to change the narrative on the news to things they can blame Trump for, they were actually pissed when Trump signed the EO to keep families together, I mean that erases their platform for the midterms, LMAO
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
      think about that

You are going to #walkaway at some point, amigo. I can see it. Too much common sense mixed in with good troll instincts - you just need the right information. There is a lot of chatter about NK right now, that if shown to be true, will change your mind.

Don't take a side or jump to a conclusion yet - watch what happens.

They might be worth something some day as a collectible.

I'm always open. But i'm extremely skeptical on this. not because I dislike trump's negotiating style but because we've been here before many times.

Well, not sure exactly how you see it that way - this is completely different - but I know what you mean, so being skeptical is a good idea even though it IS a different time, method and President.

It's important that you not lose sight of the forest for the trees. The forest is the end result - the trees are each part of the process. What President Trump has set in motion for North Korea is too much for them to give up - they would lose ultimate FACE - something they did not have to lose before.

I hear ya. it's important to remember my view has no bearing on the outcome. I've tried sending positive vibes trump's way. no answer.

I disagree! Your view and the views of millions are extremely important and have significant bearing on the outcome - they might have little to do with the process.

Anyway, like all things - watch what happens.

Friends of parents in Iran are making it sound like change is coming sooner rather than later there as well.
