to be honest, IMO is the fastest developing nation/ country in Balkans these days.
As for the rest what you wrote - yes, it's kind of true. Add to that - very friendly, warm and hospitable people (truly hospitable), amazing scenery, and the factor of exoticness.

The only influence of the islamic culture (which most of them are not, they just dont care about religion) is the fact that its kind of hard to pick up the girls there. heh.
I saw maybe 10-20 ladies in Burqas in Albania, walking the streets of Amsterdam or Brussels I see 1000s of them....

btw, from Balkans I also like Montenegro (kind of...) and country named Bosnia & Herzegovina.

I always laugh 24/7. To be honest, average Serb is more frustrated than average Albanian, IMO. At least saying that from the people I met and spoke with. and from what I saw here and there.
