Updating my S7 to Oreo...
I have finally given in after a weeks constant harassment from my phone to update. By WHY? I am happy on Nougat, like how it is, everything works but no... I 'HAVE' to upgrade to Oreo, just for the fucking sake of it...
OK< I'll no doubt get some subtle new features that I will never ever use, but in essence, if its not broke and I'm happy, I should be able to say 'No Thanks' and be done. Not get harassed by it constantly trying to update itself, despite my telling it not to do it yet. Anyway, rant over - The phones doing it now on my desk. Just hope its not gonna take me ages to get my shit how I like it... |

Well OK, I'll admit that it was pretty painless tbh... Very straightforward and its not radically different from Nougat.
I remember how different visually Nougat was from Marshmallow, however I bought the phone just as Nougat was released so never got that familiar with MM, which was a good thing. |

Time to get another phone, I just updated my s7 edge and the shit is slower and 4g doesnt work that great. I am on verizon.

my S9 is on oreo and it seems nice but then again my last phone was a cheap pp Samsung that was several updates behind.
